Has America Committed Suicide? Will God Save Us From Ourselves?

I'm sure you're familiar with the comparisons made between the Fall of the Roman Empire and the current path our once great nation has embarked upon. If you have any interest in the subject, it's not hard to see how they align, and it's important to look at this phenomenon from both a historical perspective as well as a Biblical one.

First, I want to share the finer points of an excellent article by Evan Andrews at history.com. Titled, 8 Reasons Why Rome Fell, Mr. Andrews gives a succinct theory as to the catalysts that brought about the decline of one of the greatest military, political, and social powers in history.  And it's like reading a modern commentary on the woes of our nation. Here are the reasons he sites and a short comparison with our state of affairs:

1. ROME: Invasions by Barbarian tribes. US: Invasion by refugees from foreign nations. For several decades, the nomadic Germanic people groups known as Goths encroached and eventually overran the Roman Empire's borders, with a Goth king finally sacking the city of Rome, leaving the Empire under constant threat of invasion. Today, we are seeing thousands of people from various nations streaming across our southern border, unhindered and actually encouraged. Eventually the Roman Empire was overthrown and never recovered. What does our future hold?

2. ROME: Economic Troubles and Over-Reliance on Slave Labor. US: Ditto & More. For Rome, constant wars and overspending led to a severe financial crisis. This resulted in oppressive taxation and inflation, creating a widening gap between the wealthy and poor. Additionally, the Empire suffered from a labor deficiency. Commercial and agricultural production was in decline, and the empire began to lose its grip on Europe. Do I need to say more? From the 4th-5th Century to the 21st, it's like looking in the mirror! Our national debt is $31,462,154,854,903! That's $31 trillion in round numbers. Inflation is hovering around 5%, which is higher than the long-term average of 3.28%, and rumored to skyrocket by 2024. No one wants to work anymore, choosing to receive free money from the government's Welfare State. Then there's the fact that we don't make our own goods in this country anymore and our farmers are unable to afford to grow their crops, leading to a reduced food supply.

3. ROME: The Rise of the Eastern Empire. US: The Rise of the Eastern Empire. For the Roman Empire, it was the Eastern half of the Empire, the Greek-speaking Byzantine provinces, that grew wealthy, as the Western Roman provinces faced their economic crises. The Empire became divided over military and economic issues, which contributed to its downfall. For us, here in the US, the Eastern Empire of China has become our nemesis and thorn in our side. They own a lot of our debt, and we have outsourced most of our domestic production and commerce to them, causing major decline across our economic board.

4. ROME: Overexpansion and Military Overspending. US: Can you say Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, and Military Interventions Across the Globe?  At one time, the Roman Empire stretched from the Atlantic Ocean to the Euphrates River. That led to a logistical nightmare and inability to fund their military operations, and the eventual destruction of its infrastructure. In our case, former President Dwight Eisenhower warned about the emerging power of the Military-Industrial Complex and its drain upon the nation's resources. Since 2000, we have waged wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and spent untold millions (maybe trillions) on American intervention in Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, Libya, Uganda, Niger,  Syria, and now Ukraine, with many of these operations ongoing. Enough said about this topic.

5. ROME: Government Corruption and Instability. US: Again, these are the same reasons for our decline. Mr. Andrews cites "ineffective and inconsistent leadership" as a prime factor in the Roman Empire's slide. The political rot in their Senate failed to control the disintegration, and the Empire suffered from a long and tumultuous Civil War. Today, all one has to do is watch the nightly news (if you can find a credible source) to see the same weak and inept governing body [on all levels]. The corruption is so widespread that trust in our leaders is at an all-time low and the split among our countrymen has never been so deep since our own Civil War. Lord, I pray that You will intervene and bring us Godly leaders! Right now the despair among the people is palpable.

6. ROME: The Arrival of the Huns and the Barbarian Tribes. US: The Arrival of South and Central Americans, and Covert Agents.  The Roman Empire suffered from a mass migration across their borders caused by the invasion of Europe by the Huns. The Goths were also allowed to migrate into the Empire, but eventually became dangerous enemies because of their mistreatment. A flimsy peace treaty with the migrants dissolved and the weight of the new occupants helped collapse the Empire. In our case, we have seen the unsustainable influx of humanity crossing our borders, with evidence that they are not all seeking the blessings of this country, but seek to do us harm. We have yet to see the consequences of this human flood, but it's clear that we cannot support such numbers.

7. ROME: Christianity and the Loss of Traditional Values. US: The Loss of Both Christian and Traditional Values.  Many authors of history have pointed the finger at the spread of Christianity as a factor in the decline of the Roman Empire, blaming Popes and other church leaders for infiltrating politics to the detriment of the Empire. Others say any influence in this area by Christianity pales in comparison to the military, economic, and administrative factors. There's no question that the immoral, perverted, and cruel practices of Emperors like Caligula, Nero, and Elagabalus represent anything but traditional values. But the reputation of this nation in the last 50 years won't be looked upon with any degree of moral excellence. We have killed the unborn, sold children into sexual slavery, and allowed violence to go unchecked. And in our instance, it has been the deterioration of the Christian faith [as our foundation] that has led to our loss of traditional and moral values.

8. ROME: Weakening of the Roman Legions. US: Weakening of our own Military.  The once proud Roman legions could no longer field the number of soldiers they needed to maintain their power, so they hired foreign mercenaries, many of whom turned on the Empire out of disloyalty and contributed to its defeat on the battlefield. We are now seeing the undermining of our own military; the woke agenda has infiltrated, and decisions are made at the top by men who have never been on a battlefield, so there is no identification with the soldier in the field. Plus financing has been stripped from the Military budget, and we are threatened with substandard equipment as we watch our enemies grow stronger.

Now that we see the similarities of what happened to the Roman Empire and where it seems we are headed, can we take another step forward to remember and understand that the "Dark Ages" were ushered in by the collapse of the Roman Empire? Social advancement in the sciences, philosophy, and economic growth seemed to come to a standstill. Additionally, the people lived steeped in fear and superstitions about life and authority. A collapse of a society will do that!

So, by now, I'm sure you see the alarming trajectory we are on if we continue to follow the path of the Roman Empire. Is there time -- and do we have enough national desire -- to change course? It is to Rome's credit that during the years it flourished, it was precisely due to its strong commitment to strict family values. It was characterized by its lack of divorce during that period in its history. But it was when the Emperors and Senators became lax in encouraging these values -- and the marriage covenant gave way to promiscuity and perversion -- that the decline began to form.

So where do our societal values put us on the timeline of social decline? If we are honest with ourselves, we are careening towards an unsavory end. We can't condone sexual abuse and exploitation of our children for the perverse sexual gratification of the ungodly, and expect that the God of the Universe is going to let that continue. He will not overlook the mistreatment of our children, whether through abortion or sexual perversion. Let me remind you of Jesus's words in Matthew 18:6: If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in Me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

So, do we have the fortitude and courage to stop this suicidal track we are on? Read Revelation 18 and see if you don't agree that we fit the description of Babylon in the End Times. For the sake of our future and very existence, it is time to make a decision whether to save ourselves or give in to those who seek our destruction for their own earthly and temporary satisfaction. God will hold us accountable for seeing the decline and doing nothing about turning to Him with repentance and action. He is always willing to deliver us IF we do it His way. I don't know about you, but I don't want to experience another historical Dark Ages, nor do I wish to see the nation of my birth destroyed by its own hand.

Of course, we Christians all know the dream Nebuchadnezzar had of a statue that represents the world's empires. And we know the ancient Roman Empire is no more, but the Bible tells us it will be revitalized, ruled by a conglomeration of kings until the Anti-Christ defeats them all, establishing his own false religion and setting himself upon his version of the throne of God. But the Bible makes it very clear that "a stone [which] was cut out without [human] hands, struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them". It is time to turn from our evil ways and warn every man, woman, and child that the eternal kingdom of God, the Messianic kingdom, is about to extend over all the earth, and those who reject Jesus, the Messiah, the Stone, will be crushed. Lord Jesus, we believers are living stones, ready to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable and pleasing to God through our eternal faith in You! Save us from ourselves, Lord!

Psalm 118:22-23   The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone. This is from the Lord and is His doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.

21st Century Child Sacrifice At The Altars of Molech and Ba'al

You have heard King Solomon quoted many times: There is nothing new under the sun. It would be nice for the world if that pertained only to good and moral lifestyles. But sadly [and most abhorrently] this expression still applies to the despicable practice of sacrificing children in the spirit of Molech, the ancient pagan god.

This false god is so old that I could not find any reference as to when he first appeared on the scene. Several websites stated that as early as 1450 BC, when the Israelites were wandering in the desert, they were worshiping Molech (think the golden calf), even before they had entered the land of Canaan. And we know that this detestable god appears multiple times throughout the Old Testament. We also know exactly how God felt about worshiping him... The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molech is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him. I myself will set my face against him and will cut him off from his people; for by sacrificing his children to Molech, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molech and if they fail to put him to death, I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molech.

Pretty clear, isn't it? So, how did this sacrifice ritual work? Chabad.org gives us the details: "Molech was built outside of Jerusalem in the valley of Ben-Hinnom. It was an idol with the face of a calf and open hands like someone who wants to take something from another. They would light this idol on fire until his hands were scorching. There were seven chambers before him and according to the quality of the sacrifice that is how close one could come to him. If one came with a bird, then chamber one; goat, chamber two; sheep, chamber three; calf, chamber four; cow, chamber five; and ox, chamber six. The priests would say that the one who brought his child was bringing the biggest sacrifice of all. He would enter the innermost chamber and go kiss the Molech . . . The priests would then take the child and place it near the Molech. They would then bang with drums and clap to drown the noise from the child’s screams so that the father would not regret his decision."

While I have no evidence that bronze statues of Molech still exist [with their heads of calves (or bulls) and chests that contain a big fiery furnace], it's not hard to see that Molech worship is still alive and well. Children are still being sacrificed, and it is through the ritual of abortion. What sacrifice is bigger than giving yourself the power to overcome the procreation of God's children? The 21st Century idolators seem to have dropped the argument that it is not a child, but rather just "some cells". But how do they explain their desire to write more comprehensive legislation that would allow the killing of babies up to [and after] birth?

But it is not only abortion that sees innocent children sacrificed. The sexual exploitation of children, child pornography, and sex trafficking are all forms of child sacrifice, and Molech combines forces with the false god Ba'al in the morally depraved culture of the modern world. All you have to do is tune in to the latest scandal involving Balenciaga, the Spanish luxury fashion house that caters to celebrities and the elite. You can find any Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, BeyoncĂ©, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the like, wearing Balenciaga. But their recent ad campaign has revealed the ugly underbelly of how our children are being objectified and becoming pawns in the 21st Century worship of Ba'al.

The recent ad campaign for Balenciaga was heavily BDSM-centric. What exactly is BDSM? It's official definition is "a variety of often erotic practices or role-playing involving bondage, discipline, dominance and submission, sadomasochism, and other related interpersonal dynamics". That's not my thing, and if adults wish to take part in this "variety" of sex, then that's their free will choice. But the problem with the ads were they all featured children, who when you examined the ads closer, you could see the symbolism in the positions they were placed and the props situated around them. For example, children were seen holding dolls who sported black eyes, and were dressed in bondage gear. A child's drawing of the devil is seen in the background of one photo, featuring a blond-haired little boy with a black hood at his feet, similar to those seen in satanic rituals. And one innocent red-haired little girl is positioned face down on a couch, staring at the camera in what appears a clear depiction of submission.

But that's not all this ad campaign reveals in regard to children. One ad pictures a book in the background by artist Michael Booremans whose works include castrated toddlers. Another ad appears to include photographs of paperwork from a Supreme Court case that upheld part of a federal child pornography law. Are you starting to get the picture? For years now, we've heard of child sex trafficking, and of the hundreds of thousands of children who disappear into sex trafficking rings, and are being used in satanic rituals, and exploited in the underground child pornography industry. It's been hinted at of the kinds of depraved minds that look upon children as commodities to fulfill their corrupted and debauched appetites. Each of these ads also features an innocuous little white rabbit, which some have suggested is used to trigger a response in programmed observers of the ads. And the most blatant "clue" to the "hidden" demonic messages in this campaign is the roll of gold packing tape in which the name "Balenciaga" has been altered to spell "Baalenciaga".

It's almost too much to bear for the righteous! Just as in ancient days, people blatantly followed Molech and Baal openly and deliberately. And today, the immoral and depraved parade their worship of Baal and their wicked mis-use of young children in the faces of the unsuspecting public, daring us to see behind the curtain. Lord God! Please expose the abuse and the sexual deviation that is perpetrated upon our children in this generation. You are the same God who abhorred the worship of Molech and Baal in ages past. Deal with the offenders of these children now, as You did then! Protect them and guard their innocence! Show us how to battle in the spiritual realms on their behalf, and teach us how to pray that this evil ends. Seeing it is not enough -- we want to partner with you to see these children redeemed! Amen!

Ezekiel 16:20-21   And then you took your sons and your daughters, whom you had given birth to as My children, and you killed them, sacrificing them to idols. Wasn’t it bad enough that you had become a whore? And now you’re a murderer, killing My children and sacrificing them to idols.

Is Satan "Beguiling" Our Children?

I hope that you will take the title of this post seriously, and continue to read what I have to say. Before I get to my point about our children, I want to take a little detour. I need to explain why I deliberately used the word beguiled in the title of this post. It is the word that Eve used to describe to God what the serpent did to her when she sinned in the Garden. According to Strong's Concordance, that word means either "to mentally delude" or "[morally] to seduce". Now, if you grew up going to Sunday School, you know the story of the serpent in the Garden of Eden, and you were most likely taught that the serpent tempted Eve to eat the apple off the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. I am not denying that there was temptation going on, but I do not believe it was about eating an apple.

What if the temptation was of a sexual nature? What if "the fruit" was a pregnancy resulting in the birth of Cain [who would have been the fruit of Eve's womb]? Remember, the punishment from God was that the serpent would be cursed and "crawl on his belly and eat dust all the days of his life"; that there would "be enmity between the serpent's seed and the woman's seed" [again suggesting sex]; that Eve would suffer pain during childbirth [as a direct result of her specific sin]; and that Adam would be kicked out of the Garden where everything was provided for him, and would now endure painful toil, by the sweat of his brow, to produce the food he would eat...

This interpretation is so far off base of normal Christian understanding, but when you do a deep dive study, it's not out of the realm of possibility. And in consideration of this alternative understanding, I want to now explain why I think Satan is beguiling our children. Here in Texas, I personally know of two separate counties where Christian citizens are standing up and protesting children's books that are in their local libraries; books of a highly sexual nature. In fact, their protest before their town's County Commissioner's Court has become a lightning rod for people who view the challenge to the books as an attempt to indiscriminately ban books. The outcry has been loud and has surprisingly brought factions of the community together that are usually politically divided. And all it took was for the media to highlight the words "censorship" and "banning books", and the flames were fanned for misinformation.

But here is what I want you to understand, because I have no doubt that the same concerns that parents and members of the community have here in Texas about our public libraries, is the same issue you should be investigating in your own community. The concerned citizens are not targeting books that represent a different opinion about lifestyles, but rather the sexually explicit and pornographic material in the books that is not suitable for the age groups the books are targeting. If we, as adults, don't protect the innocence of our children, we are going to have to answer to God for failing to safeguard them against suggestive material that makes them more available to pedophiles, perverts, and ungodly behavior.

When this debate surfaced here locally, I had to carefully explain to mothers who are strong Christian women, that their fears about undue censorship were being distorted and unfounded. Some expressed worry about where the line would be drawn. After all, classic books like Huckleberry Finn and To Kill A Mockingbird have been on "banned books" lists. And allowing any governmental body to decide what books can be allowed in a public library might even one day lead to the Bible being removed. I understand those fears and I agree -- it is a tightrope that we walk. But there are controversial books like "Black Flamingo" by Dean Atta, a coming-of-age novel about a mixed-race gay teen who becomes a drag artist. This wouldn't be my suggestion for a middle school-aged child, or early teens. And it is the concern of those who protested that there are openly pornographic books aimed at under-age children, in an attempt to indoctrinate them into various sexual lifestyles before they are mature enough to decide for themselves. These books are entirely inappropriate for the Juvenile section of the library (ages 7 to 10), nor the Young Adult Fiction section (ages 12 and up). Not to mention the fact that they would not be approved by God.

I want to give you a link where you can check it out for yourself. I'll give you a couple of examples of the books that the concerned parents felt would be robbing children of their innocence, and I warn you... they are salacious and suggestive. You can go to http://booklooks.org and look up the title Red Hood. It was rated 4 out of 5 for its obscene sexual activities, violence, and profanity. Yet the book appeared in the Young Adult Fiction (ages 12 and up) section. I know I grew up in a different era, but there is no redeeming value for a 12-year-old to be allowed to read a book which is so sexually graphic. To say that this book is rated R, is an understatement. Then there's Sex is A Funny Word, which was found in the Juvenile section of the library (ages 7-10) which was so obviously written to mold and instruct children in sexuality and alternate gender ideologies; containing graphic illustrations involving sexual nudity and sexual activities.

The book includes many illustrations of exposed male and female genitalia, along with "how to" illustrations regarding masturbation. And then there is this bit of encouragement: "But having a penis isn't what makes you a boy. Having a vulva isn't what makes you a girl. The truth is much more interesting than that! When we are born, a doctor or midwife calls us boy or girl because of what we look like on the outside. They choose a word or label (usually boy or girl, or male or female) to describe our bodies. But that's based on our outside, our cover, or who they think we are. What about our whole body, inside and out? What about who we think we are?"

Can you imagine how confusing or scary that would be for a 7 year-old? I'm all for different opinions, and adults have free will to do or think whatever they want [and there are consequences for those decisions], but our children should not be subjected to such deceptive and duplicitous methods of indoctrination. Reading books was one of the great joys of my childhood; a time when my innocent mind could imagine myself in the stories I was reading. And I learned what it looked like to be courageous and overcome challenges; to travel to interesting places; the thrill of solving mysteries and the joys of new discoveries. But it is the sad state of this world that we must now stand guard over our children's minds and their innocence. Just as Satan beguiled Eve to sin and transgress God's commandments, so is the devil trying to lead our children down paths that God does not approve of and which they are not equipped to travel. Jesus is not far from returning to deal with the evil in this world, and we know what He has in store for those who would harm children.

So, this is what we are dealing with here in Texas. I suggest you make a point of finding out what books are in your local libraries. Because if these books are not on your shelves yet, they are coming to a library near you soon.

Matthew 18:6      Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble and sin [by leading him away from My teaching], it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

They Are Precious In His Sight

How do I express all the emotions I am feeling in the aftermath of the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas? This weighs so heavy on my spirit because, for seven years, my husband and I called the rural communities of Sabinal and Uvalde "home". We lived on 129 acres about 20 miles from Uvalde, which is where we did our grocery shopping and our banking; where the feed store we frequented was located, and where I got my hair cut and my nails done. When you live in rural Texas you form bonds that are forever, and although it's been 14 years since we lived there, we're still in contact with many of those fine people.

So, when the news flashed across the TV screen, I felt my soul being torn apart. My mind screamed, "NO!" as I held my breath, praying that no one I knew was among the shocking numbers they were reporting. "Please, Jesus, protect those children!" But the numbers kept climbing and the horror of the truth invaded my body, soul, and spirit... another school shooting and more innocent blood shed by an evil murderer. And then it came; exactly what I feared ... a woman I knew lost her granddaughter in the unimaginable horror that happened in that classroom. Lord, how do we defeat this evil that is raging across our land?

Notice that I didn't ask Him how we got to this point. I know how we got here. As a nation, we rejected God. We decided, as a culture and a society, that we wanted to rule our lives by our own will, not His. As a society, we began rebelling against anything that put restrictions on our behavior. We became arrogant and wanted to control our lives by our own permissive rules. That included our bodies, our morals, our family structures, our idols, and anything that brought us pleasure, no matter how debased or corrupt. And so, because the One who created us gave us Free Will, He gave us the desire of our hearts. He designed Free Will to be a vehicle by which we, His creation, could make our own decision to honor and worship Him. He could have created 8 billion robots that were programmed to worship Him. But He gave us the freedom of self-determination to decide whether we would acknowledge His majesty or not.

And what decisions has our society made? Fifty years ago, we decided we didn't need Him in our schools, so we've had several generations of kids who have not begun their day in prayer or acknowledging that there is a Power greater than themselves. That power was transferred to the government who decided what children should learn to be productive citizens, which just so happened to persuade them to give up their freedoms and give more power to the government, which has led to government attempting to take over the role of "parent" to our children.

Schools were just the beginning, though. Forty years ago, we decided that God's design for our bodies and reproduction limited our freedom of fulfilling our sexual desires. So, we over-ruled His Word which said to be fruitful and multiply, and rejected His declaration that children are a heritage and a blessing from the Lord. Instead, our modern culture has decided to make children a matter of "choice". And the consequences of that decision is over 60 million murdered babies in the womb.

But there are more consequences of wandering from God's ways. We have generations of fatherless and broken families. And do I need to remind you that "family" is a precious template of His relationship with us. The Bible tells us we are His children; as Christians, we are adopted into His family. But government convinced many of the members of our society that they were a better choice to guide and provide for the family than fathers. But we didn't stop there. Not only did we emasculate fathers as the heads of their family units, but we moved toward redefining genders altogether, and now encourage emotionally, psychologically and surgically changing genders because we "feel" like it.

And then there's the issue of technology. I-pads have become our kids' babysitters. And if you think that the devil hasn't found a way to control their minds and hearts through technology, then you aren't paying attention. And technology has become a very effective method of feeding the vile passions of a nation who is exporting child pornography, human sex trafficking, and drugs among other things that God abhors. The absence of God as the cornerstone of this nation results in the kinds of horrific tragedies we have seen in Uvalde and Buffalo. How can children on the verge of manhood be so wicked as to shoot innocent men, women, and children?

The Bible makes it very clear that "[God does not overlook sin] and the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them [Romans 1:18-19]. BUT since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or consider Him worth knowing [as their Creator], God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do things which are improper and repulsive, until they were filled (permeated, saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice and mean-spiritedness [Romans 1:28-29].

The King James Bible says God will not overlook the sins of men who stifle the truth that He exists, and who refuse to acknowledge Him or consider Him worth knowing. In fact, He will give them over to a reprobate mind. That word "reprobate" is adokimos in the Greek, and it means "what is unapproved and rejected; by implication it is literally and morally worthless; God casts them away." In other words, God abandons them. They are too far gone to come back to Him. But our society is too willing to just label it as "mental illness". That's a nice sterile and safe way to describe the state of mind that has rejected God. But when we, as a nation, have removed God from our schools, our homes, and our institutions, we have created a spiritual vacuum that is devoid of moral guiding principles. And we all know that Nature abhors a vacuum. When God is removed, it will be filled with something else. And Satan is only too willing to fill that emptiness with His evil ways.

What the world witnessed in Uvalde, Texas this week was nothing short of the wickedness of a reprobate mind. The Creator of the Universe hated to see such evil perpetrated against those innocent children and two brave teachers. And my spirit grieves over the terror that they all experienced. But I cling to the knowledge that Jesus was with them in those horrific moments and gathered them to His bosom as He took them Home to be with their Heavenly Father. And if you are among the faithful of this nation who knows Jesus as your Savior, then you know the truth and the hope of that scenario.

And if you are among those who have not acknowledged Him, then I'm sure you are scoffing at my beliefs. And on the other side of the coin, I'm sure there are Christians who think that I am painting too dark a picture of our country. That Jesus is going to invade the hearts of our nation and all will turn their hearts to Him and bow a knee. I join you in repenting for the sins of America and looking towards the victory that is ours in Christ. But I can't ignore the overwhelming evidence of a society and culture that has abandoned the ways of the Lord in so many areas of our national experience.

And the answer to our plight does not lie in politics. According to the Pew Research Center, 88% of the members of Congress identify as Christian. Yet, our nation is drowning in debt; our border is being overrun with illegal immigrants; our youth are dying from fentanyl; our children are being trafficked, tempted to change genders, indoctrinated, and murdered at alarming rates. Does that sound like a nation that is walking in God's ways? I know that in far too many of our behaviors and practices we have abandoned God. I pray that God has not abandoned us.

In the aftermath of the shooting in Uvalde, the country cries, "Do something!" We demand that our governing officials stop the chaos and the killing; create more man-made laws to curb our debased instincts. But until we turn from our own ways and following the gods that we have created, and come back to the God who created us -- the God whose heavenly laws are righteous, beneficial, reliable, and sufficient -- we will continue to suffer the consequences of our wicked ways.

I know it is God's desire that we change course, and that gives me hope that America still stands a chance. It is His will that we become a nation that repents of its sins, that values each individual, and that seeks to love each other as He loves us. But we have a lot of work to do. I pray it is not too late to stem the tide of evil that the Enemy is fomenting. We must invite God back into the heart of this nation! Let us turn this vacuum into an abundance of His Power, Mercy, and Grace. Let us return Him to His position of Authority in every sphere of our existence! Let the nations declare that America has restored the King of Kings to His rightful throne as Lord of this nation! And we trust with every fiber of our beings that those 19 sweet babies and their two brave protectors were welcomed into His Kingdom as He dried their tears and surrounded them with His overwhelming and powerful love. God, please take care of them until they can be reunited with their families!

Proverbs 1:29-33  Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord, would have none of My counsel and despised all My reproof, therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way, and have their fill of their own devices. For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them; but whoever listens to Me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.
