A Modern Woman's Perspective On The Kingdom of God on Earth

Are We the True Biblical "Fig Tree Generation"? And What Does That Mean?

I love it when the House Church that meets in our home comes together and we get immersed in the reading, dissecting, and understanding of the Word! Biblical concepts that we have heard countless times from the pulpit suddenly come alive with new meaning as we study the historical, social, and faith contexts that point us to the promises of God's Kingdom on earth. This past gathering of the faithful was no different.

We are studying the Book of Mark and this week we tackled the enigmatic parable of the Fig Tree and whether we can [or should] identify as "the Fig Tree Generation" that Jesus mentions in Matthew 24, Mark 11, and Luke 21. Before I try to answer that dilemma, let's consider the significant symbolism of the fig tree throughout the Bible. We often find it to be a symbol of the nation of Israel and the promise of abundance, blessings and favor from God. In the Old Testament, [specifically in 1 Kings 4:25] we see fulfillment of those promises in "the days of Solomon": And Judah and Israel lived in safety, from Dan to Beersheba, every man under his own vine and his own fig tree.

Whether Israel lived in that blessing and favor, OR in judgment or desolation, was evidenced by the fig tree's fruitfulness. In the Book of Jeremiah, in Chapter 6:16-18, we see that the symbolism of the fig tree mirrors God's judgment, when He castigates Israel: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, "We will not walk in it." I appointed watchmen over you and said, "Listen to the sound of the trumpet!" But you said, "We will not listen." Therefore hear, you nations; you who are witnesses, observe what will happen to them...

As a consequence, we then see God's judgment play out in Jeremiah 8:13 ... I will take away their harvest, declares the Lord. There will be no grapes on the vine. There will be no figs on the tree, and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them. You may think that was over 2600 years ago and it really doesn't pertain to us Christians in the 21st Century. But the same complaints that God had against the nation of Israel in the Old Testament, we see that Jesus had in the New Testament, and I now see in today's Churches. The root of God's judgment is pictured in the parable of the fig tree ... and it's all about spiritual barrenness in the form of False Religion!

Let's take a good, hard look at what Jesus reveals to His disciples in Mark 11 regarding the condition of the fig tree they found on their way from Bethany to Jerusalem. Remember, this is during the Passover Week leading to Jesus's Crucifixion. After His triumphant Entry into Jerusalem for the Holy Week, Jesus is greeted with resounding shouts of praise: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!  [By the way, this reception is highlighting the crowd's recognition that Jesus is, indeed, the Messiah].

After entering Jerusalem, he went to the Temple where He had a good look around, assessing and inspecting the "standing" of the people. This fulfills the prophecy of Malachi, in Chapter 3:1-3, which states that God would send His messenger to prepare the way for Him. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, He is coming ... But who can endure the day of His coming, and who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap [which cleaned, and whitened, and purified cloth]. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the Lord.

After His inspection, Jesus returns to Bethany, where He and His disciples are staying the night [just a mere two miles from Jerusalem]. The next morning they head back to Jerusalem and on the way Jesus, being hungry, spies a fig tree full of leaves. This is where we need to come into the full understanding of this passage and what it means for us. Fig trees don't normally have leaves on them unless they have figs on them, too. From Jesus's perspective, the fig tree was displaying false advertising! The tree put forth a pretense of having fruit; it had the outward appearance that would cause someone [in this case, Jesus] to expect He would find fruit to nourish Him. But the tree was barren and had not produced any fruit!

Here's where I think some of our Bible translations have caused confusion about the full context of the lesson from the fig tree. For example, how many of us heard in our churches that Jesus cursed the fig tree? Read Mark 11:13-14 again. My Bible doesn't say that. In fact, the Word simply says, And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if He could find anything on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. And He said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again. That was actually a prayer that Jesus spoke over the tree, which most certainly resulted in a negative outcome, but I do not believe it was spoken as a curse; in malice or spitefulness; but rather as a warning and prophecy of what happens when you falsely represent yourself as being righteous and bearing fruit. Remember -- after inspecting the fig tree and prophesying that it would never bear fruit, the Bible makes sure we know this fact: And His disciples heard it. The disciples must have been thoroughly confused [just as we have been 2000+ years later when we read those verses]!

The prophecy of Malachi says that the Lord will inspect the standing [the status and reputation] of the "sons of Levi" [the priests] to see if they have fulfilled their role as intermediaries between God and the people, facilitating worship and maintaining the sanctity [sacredness] of the Temple. We all remember the stories from Sunday School of Jesus overturning the tables of the money-changers whom the priests had allowed to defile and dishonor the Temple, making it a marketplace and a den of thieves, rather than a House of Prayer, for which God had designed it. This passage is what immediately follows the short passage about the fruitless fig tree. Starting to get the picture?

If not, read Matthew 24:32-35. Here we get more information about the lesson we are to learn from the fig tree... From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So, also, when you see all these things, you know that He is near, at the very gates. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. This is a very explicit prophecy for "the fig tree generation".

Let's break it down. When a fig tree buds, there is an inevitable result ... summer is near and that means fruit is coming. In other words, there is an expectation. In the lexicon of parables, He is pointing to the fruitfulness of the Kingdom of God. In this passage in Matthew, Jesus has just foretold the signs of the End of the Age, which also forecasts the Coming of the Son of Man. What are the signs? Matthew 24 spells it out ... many coming in His Name, leading people astray; wars and rumors of wars; nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom; famines, earthquakes, persecution; false prophets and lawlessness; the abomination of a false god standing in the Temple in Jerusalem, declaring Himself the Most High... and finally great tribulation. So when He says to look at the fig tree and understand, and then follows that up with So, also, when you see all these things, you know that He is near... this generation (the one that sees these destructive signs) will not pass pass away until [ultimately] they see His return! That generation will be known as The Fig Tree Generation!

So when you connect the dots of the picture Jesus is trying to present to His disciples you get this understanding: Jesus is chastising the religious leaders in Jerusalem because [like the fig tree], they have been giving a false pretense of bearing fruit for God's Kingdom on earth. They have done a disservice to the flock by not leading them, or teaching them, that they should be bearing fruit for the Kingdom! Jesus even asks [in Matthew 24:45-46], Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his Master has set over His household, to give them food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his Master will find so doing when He comes.

As an addendum to this exegesis on the Fig Tree Generation, I present my personal opinion... We are certainly seeing the signs of the End of the Age, and now that the Jewish people are back in their Homeland, is Jesus ready to return? And if so, will He find fruit among His followers on the earth? Have our churches borne fruit for His Kingdom? Or, like the Pharisees at His First Coming, will He find lots of leaves [a false pretense of fruit], but no actual fruit? Have the religious leaders of our day taught and encouraged their flocks to make disciples of Christ, teaching them to observe all that He commanded us to do -- heal the sick, cast out demons, cleanse the lepers [of their spiritual corruption, degradation, and defilement], raise the dead, and spread the Gospel of the Kingdom (Matthew 10:7-8 and 28:16-20)?

That's a very serious question we should be asking ourselves! Jesus made it very clear what He expects. If you are going to proclaim that you are fruitful [by broadcasting to the world with a grandiose show of worldly leaves], then when He comes, He expects to find fruit from your endeavors! I don't know if we are the destined Fig Tree Generation. We are certainly close to fitting the criteria more than any previous generation. All we need is the Anti-Christ to declare himself the Most High God. And if we are truly that close, I would hope we are all examining ourselves. Have we borne fruit for our Master? Or have we just clothed ourselves in a false image as fruit-bearers? I know what the Lord says to the Churches in Revelation 1-3, and it is sobering.

In conclusion, the fig tree has proven to be abundant in its symbolism. It represents Israel [in both ancient and modern times]; their prosperity, judgment and hope. And its lessons for Israel give us great insight for our own relationship with God, and of our future. The image of the fig tree represents our faithfulness, our fruitfulness, our readiness for the return of Jesus, and the consequences should we be found spiritually barren. But it also offers us the promises of God and His blessings of inheritance if we show ourselves faithful to do all the things that bear fruit for His Kingdom. May you receive the promises of God's abundance, blessings and favor, as you sit under your own fruitful fig tree.

Joel 2:22      Fear not, you beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness are green; the trees bear their fruit; the fig tree and vine give their full yield.

We Need More Spiritual Warriors Who Have Right Standing With God

If you are a Believer and Follower of Jesus and are expecting that our nation and the world are going to enter a season of Peace and Tranquility; a time when the natures of men would come together in pursuit of shared values and harmonious viewpoints, then I fear you will be disappointed. If anything, our common Enemy is more determined than ever to tear us apart and cause division. We are already seeing it in the halls of Congress, and I fear we will soon see this manufactured tension and hostility in the streets. I am left wondering if there is more than a remnant of Righteous Spiritual Warriors who see this truth and are convicted of their place and purpose for this time.

I am blessed to personally know part of that company of spiritual warriors; men who stand out in the midst of the dispassionate, indifferent souls who prefer to remain on the sidelines of the spiritual war for the dominion of this earth and its inhabitants. And I'm not talking about being flag-waving nationalists dressed in the coverings of politics and religion. I'm referring to men who stand proudly in the roles God gave them as ambassadors, representatives, protectors, and imitators of His dutiful Son; men with moral compasses who know right from wrong, have grown in their righteous identity, and aren't afraid to walk against the currents of evil manifesting in our culture.

Nearly ten years ago, I wrote a post that I feel is worth revisiting. It was 2010, and our nation and society had just crossed the proverbial "Rubicon" into a new political and cultural realm for which we are still paying the consequences. Marxism took a bold step forward in the minds and hearts of our young, and our government committed us to a specific course that steered us away from our Christian roots and ideals of "government of the people, by the people, and for the people". [NOTE: the phrase "crossing the Rubicon", refers to Julius Caesar's crossing of the Rubicon River in northeastern Italy in 49 B.C., which led to a civil war and the end of the Roman Republic].

At the time, my spirit instinctively knew there was no going back, but God didn't want me to enter into a state of panic. Instead, He appointed me to become aware of [and focus on] the righteousness of my husband, a man He intended to use in support of His Kingdom here on earth. I had seen changes in his spiritual life for a few years, but God instructed me to take the time to contemplate how earnestly my husband was seeking God's Kingdom then and there.

I have disclosed through the years that my husband's first and middle names literally mean "Peace-Loving Warrior", and he is the embodiment of that heavenly name. He is at peace knowing that the good work which God has begun in him, He will be faithful to finish ... and he is more than eager to finish strong. He is at peace, knowing that His Savior will never leave him nor forsake him. And while the storms and troubles that are going to be coming against this world are more evident to him these ten years later, he is more determined than ever that they will not deter him from taking his position on the battlefield of spiritual warfare.

In the ensuing years he has gained a tremendous amount of knowledge through Scripture -- whoever inherits his Bible will receive a treasure trove of notes and commentary that rightly divide the Word of God. Every line, margin, and gutter of his journaling Bible is filled with revelations he has received from the Holy Spirit and his scholarly research for the correct meaning [and context] of every Biblical word and verse. His heart burns for every fellow believer to know and use their Authority in Jesus Christ and their Power in the Holy Spirit to fight the Enemies of God in our lives. "We have been defenseless for too long" is his daily motto.

I have watched him grow in His righteousness these last ten years to become a man deeply entrenched in his desire to help others know Jesus, not only as their Savior, but as the King of Heaven. In this age of luke-warm Christians, it is encouraging to see him lead people into achieving their full potential in God's purpose for their lives. He has gained a newfound discernment about who he has been called to reach, and continues to be bold in his pursuit of sharing the good news of the Kingdom of God. I have watched in amazement as God has brought people to our door to receive patient instruction and articulate answers to the ways of the Most High God -- discussing questions on everything from His grace to His judgment. As Proverbs 21:20-21 says, these occurrences have truly been "precious treasures and oil in the dwelling of the wise", and they have not been wasted.

We have aged in these last ten years, and I see the effects on him of the battles he has fought for the souls and spirits of men and women. While the spiritual battle that wages before us today appears to be gaining steam, his focus is on his assignment to reach as many as he can for the Kingdom of God. He pursues his calling with the utmost care, pressing forward as if he is going to run out of time, and fears coming up short in his race. He's not perfect, and he will admit it. And he is not afraid of offending the religious Pharisees of our day -- it's all about highlighting the narrow path to righteousness in the Name of the Lord, for those who are seeking it.

And if there is anything that he has learned in these past ten spiritually tumultuous years it is this: he will earnestly work to help anyone receive their freedom to become who God designed them to be IF they truly want Jesus. But if they only want to become free to continue pursuing what this world offers, and fulfill their own self-gratification, then he doesn't have time. There are far too many people he wants to reach with the Truth of God's Word [and who will receive it]. Jesus only healed the ones who came to Him in faith and expectancy that He was who He said He was. Jesus never chased after them against their will. Neither does my husband.

In summary, I hope you can discern that I am not glorifying my husband, but rather glorifying my God who is in him. And I know he's not the only Righteous man who is steadfast in sharing Jesus and His Kingdom as the solution to the world's problems. In fact, I have so much joy in the fact that as I have watched him share the Word, encourage those who are seeking God's Truth, and witnessed his active participation and victories in spiritual warfare, God has brought other Godly Righteous men to our doorstep. I am so encouraged to see these men be bold in their countenance and spirits, making the most of this life, and knowing that they will be rewarded with the Crown of Righteousness in the next life. I praise the Lord for allowing me to share in my husband's journey and to be in the company of such men who are so upright, honorable, and God-fearing. The Remnant of God is alive and well here on earth!

Proverbs 10:21, 29     The lips of the righteous feed and guide many ... The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the upright

Do You Understand ALL the Implications of a New "Golden Age"?

Unless you've been off-planet over the last couple of weeks, you are well aware that our new President has declared that "the Golden Age of America" is beginning anew. But what does a "Golden Age" actually mean? What does it imply? The term is actually part of the language associated with the Antediluvian period of history [which belongs to the time before the Biblical Flood] and recorded in ancient cultures and civilizations. I will delve into that context shortly. Suffice it to say, that the modern connotation of a "Golden Age" is a period of peace, harmony, stability, and prosperity.

In our modern history, it is commonly understood that America entered into its own Golden Age period post-WWII. The 1950s are often credited as being "golden" due to the economic growth and ability to climb in social status if you were intent on working hard and working your "way up". Government was smaller and less intrusive, and it was a time of industrialization and technological advances that contributed to the U.S. becoming an economical powerhouse in the world.

But, there have been other acknowledged Golden Ages in history, such as the ancient Greek dynasty from 500-300 BC, characterized by the advent of democracy, city-states, temples, ancient philosophers, architecture, and literature -- all building blocks of our own civilization. These were followed by the Tang Dynasty [618-907 AD] and the Islamic Golden Age [800-1258 AD]. The former depicted a golden age of Chinese arts and culture, which made an impact across Asia. The latter was distinguished by advancements in science, medicine, philosophy, and the arts.

Then came the Golden Age of the Italian Renaissance [early 14th Century until the end of the 17th Century], distinguished by the revival of art and culture -- think Da Vinci, Raphael, and Michaelango. Included within this time period was the Scientific Revolution, in which there was a rapid accumulation of independent [autonomous] knowledge that favored abstract reasoning over common sense, and which viewed nature as a machine rather than an organism. It has been speculated that science then replaced Christianity as the focal point of European civilization, giving rise to the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment [also known as The Age of Reason]. Both of the latter still have profound influence over our present age, being associated with advances in literature, humanism, a world economy, industrialization, rationality, astronomy and calculus.

Taken from the context of advancements in the arts, culture, economic growth, and scientific knowledge, it seems to be a positive indicator that we may be looking at our own new Golden Age. At one level, if you Google "America's new Golden Age", you get the following prognostications ... we're entering into a new golden age in marketing -- everything from "a massive proliferation of television and online channels, including the transformation of the home PC into a retail channel". Spinning off of that trend is the suggestion that we could be entering a strong international sales momentum and global revenue growth.

But it kind of goes without saying that the New Golden Age seems to be closely tied to the growing use of AI across the fields of Science, Technology, and Medicine. But signaling AI as the harbinger of transformation into a new age for humanity may not be as "golden" as we've been told. And that brings me back to the ancient and antediluvian ideas of an ancient Golden Age, whose memory, author Timothy Alberino states, "was enshrined in the minds of the ancients as a utopian paradise, in which mankind greatly benefited from intercourse with the gods." This is where the ancient legends of demi-gods such as Zeus, Hercules, Achilles, and Dionysus take on significance.

I'd like to recommend that you read Mr. Alberino's book, titled Birthright: The Coming Post Human Apocalypse and the Usurpation of Adam's Dominion of Planet Earth. It ignited my spirit and set off warning bells regarding the human predilection [of some of our contemporaries] to be tempted by new evolutionary paradigms that promise we can surpass God's plan for mankind. That title should sound familiar if you've read any of my posts through the years regarding Satan's appropriation of man's dominion of earth through Adam and Eve's disobedience/sin against God.

I was fascinated to discover [in the book] that "the general narrative relating to the comingling of god and man, the subsequent procreation of hybrid off-spring, (including the Nephilim and the afore-mentioned demi-gods), and the sudden obliteration of a ruinous cataclysm [the Flood] can be detected in the written records and oral traditions of every primary culture on earth. Hundreds of pages could be devoted to cataloguing the parallels in the pre-Flood legends of Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greco-Roman, Mesoamerican, Andean, Polynesian, and Asian peoples [among many others]." The author concludes that "it is logical that all these stories, so homologous in their narratives, originate from the same source". And apparently they all remember this age as glorious and "Golden", with man longing to return to this paradise on earth in which they happily served the desires of the gods.

However, there are exceptions to these harmonious memories. A prominent departure would be the Hebrew account, which we have in our Bible. The history of this period is recorded in the Old Testament as well as extra-biblical texts [of Second Temple Judaism] in Enoch 1, Book of the Giants, Jasher, the Book of the Maccabees, and the antediluvian Epic of Gilgamesh, among others. These accounts leave us with a history marked by extreme violence, depravity, and open rebellion against the Most High God. The stories center around beings [called Watchers] who descended from Heaven, through the stargate [portal] on Mount Hermon, mating with human women, and begetting a hybrid race of Giants who brought violence, chaos, and corruption, along with advanced knowledge and technology that would play into their evil plans to not only subjugate mankind but experiment with geoengineering -- "genetically modifying men and creatures into perverted reflections of their own likeness" [Alberino].

In the favorable and ancient historical accounts, it is obvious the Watchers were worshipped as gods. Their advanced knowledge allowed them to tempt earthly men with the things that could be accomplished [as in building megaliths like the Egyptian pyramids, and even developing nuclear-equivalent weapons]. As Timothy Alberino writes, "This was the true Golden Age of yore. The gods were dwelling among men, imparting forbidden knowledge, corrupting the genetic matrix of life, and leading mankind into open defiance against his Maker -- seizing for themselves the adoration that belonged to Yahweh".

So, how are we to interpret the call for a "New Golden Age"? Does it raise any warning flags for you? Is the development of Artificial Intelligence at quantum speed going to be the spring board for a new age of gods who might once again subjugate men to their nefarious designs to control this realm called Earth? I know it sounds like a science fiction nightmare; a reinvention of the Terminator hypothesis, but if we're honest with ourselves, I think we instinctively know that God's Enemy, Lucifer, is not going to give up on his revenge against men. And we know that man's pride will always lead him down a path to his own destruction.

A Golden Age in America sounds enticing, for sure. Man has been seeking it since the fall of Adam. And I know that we're all tired of the machinations of men who only seek their own power and self-interests. Technology has some great things to offer to make our lives better, but we must be discerning and tuned into our God. Does it honor and glorify Him? Does it promote His plan of redemption and reconciliation with Him? Or is it becoming another tool of the devil to turn our focus away from our inheritance in God's Kingdom in Heaven? While this post may sound like the rant of a crazy Christian, I ask that you simply be aware that the promotion of a Golden Age has dramatic historical significance, and we better be careful of where we're headed. "Trust not in your own understanding, but acknowledge God in all your ways, and He will make your path straight".

Matthew 7:13-14     Enter by the narrow gate. For the way is wide and easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

Tesla, AI, Stargate, and Man's Race to Destruction

In my previous post, I raised my apprehension regarding the enthusiasm with which our new president and tech billionaires are embracing the "Stargate Initiative". The lure of this project is that it promises unparalleled economic and technological advancements that will [hopefully] allow us to compete with China in using AI technology to affect our military readiness and significant medical breakthroughs, including experimental cancer vaccines. No one seems to be concerned about the possibility of privacy violations from the data retrieval; the exorbitant amount of electricity that will be needed to power these data centers; or God-forbid, the AI dominance that could negatively effect our human workforce, and therefore, the economic future of millions of households worldwide.

In the 14 years that I've been writing this blog, I haven't been shy about putting forth my concerns regarding technological advancement and what I discern are warning signs for mankind. And those concerns haven't abated. Additionally, it's disconcerting that the American public doesn't seem to connect the dots between the expansion in technology, nor see the possibilities of how it could ultimately affect the future of humanity.

Back in 2014, I wrote an article entitled, Was Tesla the Conduit Between Fallen Angels & Our Technology, which has continued to garner the largest response to any post I've written. At the time, Elon Musk was just coming on the scene as the founder and CEO of Tesla Motors. I was shocked to read a quote in which he commented on our obsession with Artificial Intelligence technology, saying, "With artificial intelligence, we are summoning the demon". I couldn't help but connect that warning with the statement by genius astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, who is on record as saying, "The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race". And here we are, just 11 or so years later, and we are going full-steam ahead with the Stargate Initiative, the most ambitious, progressive AI enterprise to date.

But, the primary point I want to make is this: We need to pay attention to the words and history that Nikola Tesla has left us. To some, he was a genius; a Serbian American inventor, engineer, and futurist who wanted to "illuminate the earth"; the man robbed of the title of "Father of Electricity" by his rival, Thomas Edison. To others, he was a dangerous man; a man that believed "In black holes as the most powerful sources of energy and life". He was a man who conducted experiments, trying to discover "what to do in the Universe, so [that] every being is born as Christ, Buddha, or Zoroaster". [Zoroastrianism is a pre-Islamic religion, revealed to man to be a "god" named Ahura Mazda. It is my contention that this entity was a fallen angel].

In an 1899 interview, from his Colorado Springs laboratory, Tesla opened up about his "other-world views" ... that the Light of the Universe filled his six senses; about building a machine, that by vibration, provokes a feeling of bliss; that humans once had real and visible wings. He speaks of being aware, as a child that there was an Energy in the Universe, and of trying to awaken that energy, and figure out how it could influence people. He said, "I hear the thunder from a hundred fifty miles away, and I see colors in the sky that others cannot see. This enlargement of vision and hearing, I had as a child. Later, I consciously developed [it]".

At times, as I read his interview, his words seemed the farcical meanderings of an intellectual eccentric. But then there would be a passage that made the hair stand up on the back of my neck, such as this excerpt: "Life is a rhythm that must be comprehended. I feel the rhythm, and direct on it, and pamper in it. It was very grateful and gave me the knowledge I have". (He speaks of "It" as if it was a person or entity)!  "Knowledge comes from space; our vision is its most perfect set. We have two eyes; the earthly and spiritual. It is recommended that it become one eye. The Universe is alive in all its manifestations, like a thinking animal".

Knowledge comes from space ... We have spiritual and earthly eyes ... It is recommended that our vision become one eye ... What is he insinuating? Fallen angel knowledge, like what was shared in Enoch 1? And is he alluding to the occultic all-seeing eye? Is anyone else thinking, "This sounds like the Prince of the Air prowling like a lion"? And back to this knowledge that comes from space ... could it be part of the fallen angel technology that has been shared throughout history with mankind -- from the technology that allowed Nimrod to build the tower of Babel; to the branch of knowledge that resulted in the building of the ancient Sphinx; to the occultic knowledge possessed by Hitler and the Nazis; to the modern applications being employed in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Transhumanism? Was Tesla trying to tell us that this knowledge is supernatural and inhuman? What could he possibly have meant by this statement ... "The Universe has only one substance and one supreme energy with an infinite number of manifestations of life. The best thing is that the discovery of a secret nature reveals the other. One cannot hide, they are around us, but we are blind and deaf to them. If we emotionally tie ourselves to them, they come to us themselves".

I invite you to read the entire manuscript of his 1899 interview. It will mystify you and possibly frighten you. But one thing is clear ... it is difficult to categorize him. Is he a hero or a villain? Throughout his life, Tesla asserted that he had indeed discovered a limitless power supply from a source that no one else had knowledge of -- but he never revealed the source. See if you can discern for yourself who or what that source might have been from this quote ... "Ideas came in an uninterrupted stream and the only difficulty I had was to hold them fast. In less than two months I evolved virtually all the types of motors and modifications of the systems which are now identified with my name".

And now, over a century and a quarter after his death, Elon Musk, the Founder of a company that bears Tesla's name, and one of the foremost entrepreneurs that have benefited from the genius and experiments of Nikola Tesla is still using advanced technology and AI, even though a few years back he implied we "might be going too far". And now you see all the Tech giants promoting their own AI companies, such as ChatGBT, OpenAI, and Musk's own company, xAI.

Can you consider that the genie was let out of the bottle way back in Nimrod's time? Can you perceive that the "power source" throughout history has been the same source that sought to usurp the throne of God and got kicked out of Heaven? History has shown us that once man agrees to accept that Satanic power source, it becomes a race towards human destruction. The only thing that has ever stopped the total ruination of man has been God. Are we headed towards a quantum leap to that ruination? Tesla believed that there were certain truths we needed to learn in order to be healed in this human existence. Modern man seems to think that the knowledge offered by Artificial Intelligence will "cure what ails us". For what it's worth, I believe that our healing [our survival and our eternity] depends on seeking God's Divine Truth. Any other truth from any other source is derived from self-interest.

Tesla sought and received "the Light" he believed was the source to energy and light. That theory has led us to the development of technology. But we must not fall into the trap of believing that all technology is created for the advancement of the human race, or created to carry out the will of our Father in Heaven. Jesus came to set the captives free, but it sure looks to me as if we are sending ourselves into captivity with our incessant hunger for more technology.

1 Timothy 4:1    The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed: At the end of this age, many will depart from the true faith one after another, devoting themselves to spirits of deception and following demon-inspired revelations and theories.

Why the "Stargate Initiative" and AI Are Triggering My Spirit

I will be the first to admit that I am not able to comprehend or discern the full implications of the "Stargate Initiative" that our new President is so highly touting. My human mind understands it on a very fundamental level. But my spirit is very anxious and, truthfully, apprehensive about it, and here is why ...

I don't believe either Trump or the investors [all tech billionaires] are being completely honest about the objectives of the project. Oh sure, they can tell me they are in a rush to push the completion of the initiative because we're in a race with China for world domination of AI technology that will advance everything from our healthcare to our military readiness. We are also told that "Stargate promises unparalleled economic and technological advancements". But immediate concerns were raised about "the ethical and societal implications of AI", particularly regarding the new administration's recent repeal of Biden's executive order that had established safeguards to protect against the possibility of AI's biased decision-making, privacy violations, data retrieval/storage, and potential for AI and the technology sector of our economy to effect the future of the American worker.

In addition, the stratospheric cost of this Initiative at a time when Americans want to see our national debt reduced, is a cause for concern. The current price tag for this ambitious AI project is currently $500 billion for what seems like a measly promise of only 100,000 jobs. And, Yes, the price tag for this project is being largely funded by the private sector oligarchs who would be our partners in this venture, but the truth is $500 Billion shared among this small group of powerful individuals is "chump change" for them. My worry is that they could use their wealth and power to greatly influence how our country is governed.

As stated in one of the previous paragraphs, the possibility of drastic deregulation [in order to supply the electricity needed to power the AI data centers] threatens to put all Americans at risk. The North American Electric Reliability Corporation has warned that "about half of the US could face power shortages within the decade".

And there are more implications of Stargate's impact on our culture and individual lives, ranging from the objectives of some of the investors in this project, for example, Larry Ellison (of Oracle) who promotes using AI and mRNA technology to come up with personalized "Cancer vaccines." NOTE: It was the controversies over mRNA vaccines [which are alleged to not be vaccines at all, but rather gene-therapy [which is still a largely experimental phase of medical intervention, which can cause gene defects and mutations, which can then cause unintended diseases). This controversy surfaced during the C-19 debacle, and will not be popular with a huge portion of the American population.

Here's a further reason to be concerned: If Ellison can get the Trump era of the FDA to classify the mRNA gene therapy as a "vaccine", then he will avoid all legal liability for any medical harm that might befall unsuspecting Americans. We saw the fallout of that policy during the Biden administration. I personally know families who are still reeling from the loss of their elderly parents, as well as their sons and daughters who died mysteriously of strokes and heart attacks in their 20s and 30s. There is just too much that is unknown about these experimental medical therapies to make me feel comfortable about adopting them without further investigation.

In addition, although Trump has declared he is eliminating DEI policies in American businesses and corporations, both Ellison and SoftBank President and CEO Junichi Miyagawa stated they would still promote DEI initiatives in their partnership with Stargate. And there's just something about telling the World Economic Forum [held this week in Davos, Switzerland] that "America is going to become the world leader in AI and Crypto", that provokes my spirit. Because I trust my Bible and my God more than I trust politicians and world oligarchs, my spirit is on heightened alert that the Beast System is making inroads among the governments and institutions of man. As our societies have become more dependent on man's own designs, inventions, and perception of dominion [rather than seeking God's counsel, wisdom, and guidance], we have opened the world up to political tensions, the possibility of economic collapse, cyberattacks, AI dominance, vulnerabilities to released geo-engineered viruses, and so much more that could result in the extermination of mankind.

All this could very easily result in a cataclysmic event [or events] that would send mankind into a free fall of disastrous and catastrophic decline. The Bible tells us that the world will be looking for a charismatic leader that will promise peace, tranquility, and prosperity. Such a leader could dominate the world. That Leader will cause moral minded people to compromise their Biblical belief systems [even the sovereignty of Jesus Christ] in favor of following the imposter. I believe there are many imposters vying for that power today.

LET ME BE CLEAR ... I am not saying that Donald J. Trump is part of the Beast System. I am simply saying my spirit is on high alert and cautioning for clear-headed thinking, and discernment. My spirit is calling us to stay focused on Jesus and to listen for His voice. I don't have any way of knowing when the Beast System will go online, so to speak, but the signs are there that it is closer than ever. So, just remember this ... we have only one True God who can offer and fulfill the promise of Salvation and Deliverance from the evil of the world. No man or group of men can  accomplish this promise. No innovative machine or artificial intelligence can transfer us from this world into the Kingdom of God. His Kingdom is above all worldly kingdoms, and He will reign forever! So, listen to your spirit ... ask the Lord to lead you and give you His Strength. Let Him search the intentions of your heart and lead you on His path of Righteousness. That is where you will find your rest and your peace as we learn to navigate the world that is coming. Hallelujah!

John 16:13    When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all the Truth,  for He will not speak on His own authority, and He will declare to you the things to come.

Has America Entered Into A Biblical Covenant With God?

As our nation enters into a new political administration and governmental direction, I hear many Christians declaring that God is now going to bless America by establishing a renewed covenant with our land and our people. Using the Word of God as my means of assessing the truth of this viewpoint, I must respectfully disagree with this position. Let me tell you why...

My skepticism comes from 1) my belief that politics is not the answer to what ails us; and 2) my understanding of what covenant means to God and who the Bible says He has made covenants with. I think it's wonderful that so many in the new administration in Washington D.C. have made it clear how important their faith is to them. We need men and women who are seeking to rule this nation in the righteous principles of our God. But an administration seeking to provide political solutions to the individual spiritual problems of 341,145,670 American citizens [as of January 18, 2025] will not restore our relationship with God. It is only through understanding what covenant means to our Heavenly Father that we can return to our original state with Him. And I believe it is an individual endeavor.

So, let me begin by stating what I believe God reveals in His Word regarding Covenant. The word Covenant defines an ongoing relationship with no appointed end; it implies a continuing relationship; a growing organic process that is a natural development. Unfortunately, through the centuries of Biblical interpretation, we have learned to think of God's covenants in terms of the New and Old Testaments. But, to God, Testaments are legal documents that can be declared null and void, as a new testament/legal document replaces the previous one ... they have a definite beginning and a specified end.

But God's Covenants are renewed, not replacing the previous ones. These renewed covenants simply include the previous ones and expand on them, enfolding them into the existing covenant which still remains in force. We see this principle playing out in God's [Biblical] seven progressive and inclusive covenants He made with mankind, beginning in the Garden of Eden and advancing through the history of man: the Adamic, Noachic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, New, and Everlasting covenants.

[NOTE: the Church tends to assign these covenants to the Old Testament only. But they are meant for us, too! In order to change the future of this nation, the people need to understand God's intentions in establishing the covenants and their purposes. We need to understand that within the Bible, God has assigned these seven covenants into four fundamental covenant types: Blood, Salt, Sandal and Marriage Covenants -- in that specific and progressive order; folding each one into the next one as a process of inviting us to grow and mature into one who is worthy to become the Bride of Christ.]

Here is a further depiction of these fundamental covenants. The Biblical description of the Blood Covenant is when we enter into a relationship of Servanthood, which requires the shedding of blood by sacrifice. Jesus did that for us on the Cross, so when we declare Him as our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer, we receive His free gift of Salvation, and we make a commitment to serve God by fighting the good fight against the world's temptations which can lead to sin. This decision to die to our sins must be made daily, as expressed by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:31: "I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily".   Through this covenant, God asks mankind to serve and obey Him.

A nation cannot accomplish this through its political efforts. It is the result of individuals choosing to enter into each state of their faith as they commit to a covenant relationship that, if we choose to be intentional, will progress to the next level, while maintaining every aspect of the previous level.

Once we have become God's servant, we can choose to grow into the Salt Covenant, which is an eternal covenant, intended to restore the lost Friendship and closeness we forfeited in the Garden. There is an ancient Hebrew custom which portrays the nature of this covenant ... Each person carried a small pouch of salt. When two or more men wanted to enter into this type of relationship with each other, the parties to the covenant would mix their salt in a common bowl, break bread, dip it into the salt, and eat it. When they finished they would redistribute the salt into their pouches. The only way to break this covenant was to separate each grain and return them to the original owner. It is clear that this covenant was meant to establish a bond forever -- it was an eternal covenant. When we enter into the Salt Covenant, God expands on the Servanthood [Blood] Covenant and rewards us with more of Himself.

The next step in the progressive Covenants is the Sandal Covenant, or covenant of Inheritance. Ancient Hebrews used worn-out sandals to mark the boundaries of their property and to set the boundaries in place; to move them was strictly forbidden by divine command. Therefore, the Sandal Covenant came to represent a picture of the relationship of sons and daughters with their parents. Along with the privilege of Inheritance comes the responsibility to maintain the Servant Covenant and the Friendship Covenant with God, as well. Inheritance also requires us to be a good steward of our Father's estate. This was the original intent for Adam and Eve. But they lost their authority and responsibility to manage the Garden and the earth, and they lost it through their disobedience.

Can you see that these covenants point us to the progressive nature of our purification, relationship, and partnership with God? Moreover, they point to the first step: our Salvation which leads to our Sanctification [being set apart to be a Servant to our God]; to our dedication as an eternal Friend; and to our Inheritance as sons and daughters, growing in commitment and intimacy with our Heavenly Father.

It is important to note that we do not acquire our Salvation through any "works" connected to each of these covenants. Only Jesus's blood sacrifice and death on the cross, and our acceptance of His forgiveness provide that -- for everyone ever born! Sadly, today, many believers think they can get saved and have all the intimacy they'll ever need by accepting the free gift, with no additional effort on their part. But Salvation is only the beginning; only the first step toward establishing the intimacy God desires. We are given the choice of going further and increasing the maturity and intimacy of our relationship with Him. We have to consciously make that commitment to move beyond basic Salvation and into true covenant relationships with Him. This will result in a step-by-step increase of His Kingdom in our lives -- and the life of our nation! -- IF we choose to walk out our faith by advancing into these covenants.

There is so much more I could say about God's Biblical Covenants ... specifically, the Marriage Covenant. But within history, we have not yet come to the marriage of the Bridegroom with His chosen Bride, so I don't want to complicate the context of this post which is about the question whether America is in the process of entering a Biblical covenant with God. For now, it is enough to understand that the Marriage Covenant is yet to be fulfilled. You need to know that it is the final step in the process of restoration, and it is in the hand of the Bridegroom alone; it is His decision to offer betrothal and marriage, which is the fulfillment of all the covenants.

But becoming part of the Bride doesn't happen automatically! Many Christians assume that Salvation alone is all they need to become "one with Christ", now and forever united with Him as His Chosen One, His Bride dressed in white. It's not that simple! By now, I hope you can perceive that we, if we are Saved, have simply taken the first step and accepted His free gift. From that moment, we have had the obligation, the opportunity, and the privilege of choosing how far we want to go in our relationship with God. We can be His Servant, growing into His Friend, and then maturing into our Inheritance as His son or daughter.

To reach that most important and eternal Covenant of Marriage, we must choose, as individuals, to accept the first three progressive covenants of Service, Friendship and Inheritance, offered by God. BUT THEY CANNOT BE LEGISLATED! The Bible has revealed that the Lord refers to Israel as His Wife in Isaiah 54:6, and in Jeremiah 3:14-20, the Body of Christ [the Church] is referred to as the Bride of Christ. We, as individual and corporate believers, are the Church. But just as we see the Lord serve Israel a writ of divorce after the leaders and the people of Israel (the apple of God's eye) became treacherous and treasonous, it is not the nation or its leaders that can decree or ratify their covenant relationship with God.

It is the nation whose individual citizens have accepted God's offer of Servanthood, Friendship, and Inheritance [along with their privileges and responsibilities] that will qualify to be considered and invited as Marriage material with the King of Kings. The Bible is full of accounts of the leaders of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah who fell short in their pursuit of righteousness, leading their people astray and away from the Holy God of Israel. We must, as individual citizens of God's Kingdom on earth, live our lives as models of Covenant relationship with God Almighty, showing others [including our leaders] what that looks like.

In conclusion, there is no evidence in Scripture that God made a special covenant relationship with America, like He did with Israel. There is evidence, however, that our moral and social values have declined, and the Church has failed to be accountable for that. We have squandered knowledge of our Founders and the Christian elements that they enshrined in our Constitution. In light of that consideration, the Biblical principles upon which America was founded have given us a solid foundation on which to return to. No elected President can [or will] guarantee that God will look upon our nation with favor. It is time to look inward, humbling ourselves and asking God for forgiveness, His wisdom and guidance, and our offers of repentance as we build renewed covenants with Him in our individual lives. One by one, we can turn this nation into one who "trusts in the Lord with all our hearts... acknowledging Him in all our ways". That will go a long way towards our restoration and purification, making us worthy to be invited to be His Bride.

Deuteronomy 7:9       Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His Covenant of Love to a thousand generations.

"My People Perish For Lack of Knowledge"... And We Will Be Held Accountable

In the wake of the recent tragedies in our country -- North Carolina, New Orleans, and now California -- the two Biblical precepts in today's title come to mind. God speaks of them separately, yet my spirit is perceiving how they will ultimately be connected at the Lord's Return.

To be honest, I am amazed at the lack of knowledge and understanding by the world (including far too many in The Church) of who God is and who we are to be in Him. It is important that all the people on earth know and comprehend the seriousness of what should be a familiar verse, Hosea 4:6:  "My people perish for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children".

Lack of what knowledge you might ask? The prophet Hosea speaks to the children of Israel in Chapter 4, but his warning applies to all of God's creation, whether they acknowledge Him, or not. He warns the children of Israel [and therefore us] ... Hear the Word of the LORD; For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land: "There is no truth or mercy or knowledge of God in the land". And let me remind you that there is no excuse for not knowing God. He makes Himself known in the beauty of a sunrise, in the birth of a child, in the touch of a hand to the hurting, and in the power of the ocean, a bolt of lightning or an earthquake. But the most significant evidence of His existence is the relationship we form with Him in our hearts and spirits -- if we seek Him and let Him in.

Take a moment and consider those two verses again. The Creator of the Universe not only makes it clear that we will perish for our lack of knowledge of Him, but that He will, in reality, reject and destroy us; and our generations will cease to exist. That shouldn't be taken lightly! Furthermore, Romans 14:12 tells us that each of us will give an account of ourselves before God. We will all stand before Him one day and be held accountable for our time here on earth; for all we've done [and not done], and for every word spoken.

But from the beginning of man's creation, we have surrendered to the temptation of thinking we know better than He does; that the mind of the created is greater than that of the Creator. Therefore man doesn't seek the wisdom and knowledge of God, The Creator; nor does he make the effort to know and understand His Word, which provides His moral and social laws that result in righteous and rewarding lives for all who follow Him. Instead, mankind determines that he knows best how to create a socially diverse, equitable, and inclusive society that will benefit everyone -- of course, without any moral guidelines, other than whatever meets our individual needs -- and that becomes our relative truth.

So, how has that worked out over the past few years and months for the citizens of our country? Let me be clear, this is not meant to be a political statement. I call our attention to this perspective out of a sincere concern for the welfare of our fellow Americans -- no matter your skin color, gender preference, age, political affiliation, or social class, we were created to take care of each other and honor the One who created us. That means, as a follower of Jesus, I believe in His Word that says we are to hold each other accountable while on earth for our words and actions. That calls for openness and honesty, especially when operating in positions whose job is to help our neighbors. Instead, I see self-serving men and women making excuses for bad social policies, and all too willing to blame others and not be accountable for their decisions. And it costs unnecessary suffering and injustice.

That's why 2 Corinthians 5:10 should strike fear into anyone who has no knowledge of His Creator and thinks he can make of his life whatever suits him, regardless of how it effects others. This critical verse tells us that "we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad".  You see, there will come a day when that lack of knowledge will cost you your life [here and for eternity] -- if you don't know Him. And every self-centered deed or careless action that benefited yourself [while harming others] will be revealed, and instead of a reward for serving God, you will "receive what is due you" by our Holy and Righteous God.

As citizens, we are called to submit to the authority of our leaders, but that is difficult when we have no confidence that they will fulfill their duties and responsibilities to keep watch over us, as those who know they must give an account. But we have responsibilities, too, and we will give an accounting for how well we guarded the rights and blessings bestowed on us [by God] as citizens of this great nation. We must take responsibility for who we voted for and the policies they supported. Were they good for the community and nation? Too many people got pulled along by false promises and hopes of ill-gotten gain on the backs of the less fortunate. We will stand before Jesus regarding our actions, as well.

As Christians, if we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that the thousands of people in North Carolina suffering through a cold winter without adequate housing; or the violent attacks in New Orleans and the streets of our cities; and the tremendous loss of life, homes, and businesses in the beautiful hills of Los Angeles -- it all could have been avoided. But we have not demanded nor voted for righteous leadership in this nation for a long time. How long did we expect God to turn a blind eye to our mismanagement of this blessed land? "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked (Luke 12:48)". The truth is, we have not safeguarded what the Lord has given us; nor demanded the same from our leaders. And we wonder why we seem to be judged? Here's the answer ... "There is no truth, or mercy, or knowledge of God in the land."

Romans 1:20      For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities -- His eternal power and divine nature -- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Take Heart! You Can Count on God's Promises!

As one who has counted on [and received] personal promises from God -- both for myself and my husband -- I am honest enough to admit that Satan still tempts me with moments of doubt and anxiety. As I battle these spirits of deception, I cling to the certainty that His Grace and Mercy will always be sufficient to help me through these struggles, until I can regain my focus on my Savior. You see, I understand that His Grace includes His power in me to help me do what I cannot accomplish on my own.

I know that all of God's promises are reflected in Jesus. My part in believing those promises is to, not only, trust the vision of Jesus that is portrayed in the Bible, but to trust in the power of the One that presents Himself to me daily. Jesus, Himself, trusted in the power of God's promises when He declared, "I am that Bread of Life. (John 6:48); "I am the Light of the World (John 8:12); and "I am the Resurrection and the Life" (John 11:25). The trust that Jesus had in God's power to raise Him from the dead gave Him the confidence to make those bold statements, and to carry out His purpose for the Kingdom. The same confidence is available to us when we trust in our promises from God.

So, what is the power of the promises that God has given us? What is it that we can place our faith in eternity on? Consider the following promises to you and what they say about God's character:

1. He has promised to supply every need we have. The Bible says: "But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Notice that God promises to meet our needs, which would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation, all through Jesus. It does not include the superficial "needs", as the world translates that word. All our needs [in order to survive] are met in Jesus.

2. God has promised that His children will not be overtaken with temptation. Instead, He assures us that a way of escape will be provided. This promise is recorded in 1 Corinthians  10:13, where the Bible tells us that there is no temptation that we endure that is not common to man. When I am attacked by spirits of temptation, it gives me great comfort to know that God will not let me be tempted beyond what I can handle. Jude wrote: "Now unto Him, who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy" (Jude v. 24). Darious, King of the Medes, said to Daniel, "Your God, whom you continually serve, He will deliver you" (Daniel 6:16). And God delivered Daniel is so many ways; least of all from a den of lions. That same magnitude of deliverance is available to us when we believe and trust in God's promises.

3. God has promised us victory over death. Jesus was the first fruits of God's resurrecting power, and this to assure us of our own resurrection at the end of Days. Peter said: "This Jesus has God raised up, whereby we are all witnesses (Acts 2:32). Paul wrote to the Corinthians: "For I delivered to you, first of all, that which I also received, how Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Later on, he adds: "but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57). The Victory is God's, the Victor is Jesus, and we are the beneficiaries of their defeat over Death.

4. God has promised that all things work together for good to those who love and serve Him faithfully (Romans 8:28). It may be difficult [at times] for us to see and understand how this is accomplished, but God has promised it and He will deliver. How many times have we looked back on an event in our lives that we felt was devastating, or a failure? Has time revealed that God was taking you down a path that resulted in blessings beyond your imagination? We need to cling to this verse, knowing that God will always be faithful to complete the good work He has begun in us.

5. God has promised that those who believe in Jesus and are baptized for the forgiveness of their sins will be Saved. (Read Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38). I think we sometimes take these verses too lightly. Believing in Jesus is more than just a statement of faith; it is living our lives so that they are evidence of our belief, trust, and confidence in Him for every aspect of our daily existence. And being baptized is an important step that shows the spiritual realm to whom you belong. It is a testimony to Satan and his servants that you have chosen a side and you are in this battle for the eternal glory of God. When we take this step, we can expect that the forces in the spiritual realms will see us as the enemy, but we have the promise of God that we will be saved from our enemies (Psalm 18:3).

6. God has promised His people eternal life (John 10:27-28). This is the promise that we won't realize until we have conquered Death. This is the hope for which we long; the hope that Jesus instilled in our hearts when He sent the Holy Spirit to indwell us. This is the promise for which my spirit praises God, and the pledge that Jesus has given me by providing the means of my salvation from God's coming wrath against the wicked.

7. God has promised that "those who wait on the Lord, will renew their strength. They will mount up on the wings of eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow faint" (Isaiah 40:31). This promise is particularly meaningful to me as I enter into the twilight of my years on earth. In addition, the Lord has let me know that this is the verse He wants me to cling to. I have come to understand that "waiting on the Lord" embodies the idea of the hope I have in finishing strong in this life; that I will accomplish my purpose(s) here on earth, never faltering, and finishing my race. I will finish strong because the Lord lives in me, and it is His power in me that will see me through to the end.

As we can see, all of God's promises DO find their affirmation in Jesus Christ, our Savior. Through Jesus the purposes of God are established -- our needs are met; His Grace will always be enough; we will be able to withstand temptation, we will have victory over Death; God will complete the work He has begun in our life; we will receive salvation and forgiveness of our sins; we will finish our race strong and spend eternity in God's Holy Presence -- and it is all accomplished through our faith in Jesus, and for the immeasurable Glory of our God. So, don't let the darkness of these days overwhelm the Truth of God's Promises. He still reigns in His Power, Authority, and Sovereignty. The powers of this world will not and cannot defeat Him or us! Hallelujah!

2 Corinthians 1:20    For all the promises of God find their "Yes" in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our "Amen" to God for His Glory.

How Should A Christian Respond to Lawlessness?

I can certainly understand the sense of fear and hopelessness that might be gripping our nation in the wake of the violent attacks against our Homeland this past week. America has largely escaped the terror that the rest of the world has lived in during our modern era. We have always been able to live our lives in relative peace and freedom; going about our days without the extreme fear and trepidation that harm or death awaits us. But we are now experiencing a heightened sense of foreboding that is both unfamiliar and alarming. The chaos and lawlessness that have risen have the clear signature of God's Enemy imprinted all over them.

But how should a Christian respond and react to the rebellion that is at the heart of this turmoil? Doesn't this lawlessness come down to the rejection of God's standards of righteousness and His absolute Truth? So, shouldn't our response be in defense of [and the exercise of] Christ's Love and Truth? Sounds too simple in the face of the images flashing across our TV and phone screens, doesn't it? Yet, that's exactly what our Lord did in the midst of the lawlessness He faced. And He knew what was coming!

It is time that believing Christians [and I don't use that term lightly], come to a spiritual place of Trust in the Sovereignty of the Lord. This is not the time to rest on your reputation as a Christian. It is the time to really live your Faith! I believe we are living in the Last Days. And if you are a True Christian, then you know the implications of that terminology. The Bible tells us that Good will be called Evil, and Evil called Good. Deception will run rampant and lies will be believed; even "the Elect" could be deceived, which reveals just how strong the deception will be. Constant vigilance must be employed; no one will be immune to Satan's efforts to spiritually deceive the world.

We must see the evil for what it is -- deliberate rebellion against the Living God and His Truth. The godless are set on fomenting increasing violence and lawlessness due to their ignorance of the heart of the One True God. And that lawlessness is taking many forms. We see it in the wars that are circling the globe; the "lone wolf" attacks on civilians; the rebellion against the knowledge of God; the intentional killing of His creation in the womb; and the calculated efforts to change the divine design of our children's bodies.

So, again, I ask ... as a Christian, how do we live in the midst of the lawlessness of this generation? We can no longer afford to ignore it or compromise with it. Only Trust, Faith, Love, and Repentance (not necessarily in that order), will provide us with the Hope that we desperately seek. And included in that formula is standing for God's Absolute Truth, especially as we see it being blatantly denied and falsely interpreted. And we can trust in that Truth because we know that God never changes. His moral laws and promises are the same today as they were thousands of years ago when He revealed them through the prophets. And because we trust in His Divine order, we can perceive our current circumstances from an eternal perspective -- the lawlessness we are suffering today will be defeated and we have a future waiting for us in His Heavenly Kingdom.

If we believe and trust in the Word of God, then we know that our faith will sustain us during this turbulent time. Jesus, Himself, tells us to "Have faith in God... whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours". We don't have to see it to believe it ... we have the Word of God that assures us of what we hope and pray for. One of the first passages of Scripture that I memorized was Proverbs 3:5-6 .... Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Our hearts must remain steadfastly focused on Jesus because the devil is going to try to deceive us; therefore, we can't rely on our human comprehension, but must trust in our spiritual discernment, listening for His voice and following His guidance through the Holy Spirit. That's how we circumnavigate the lawlessness and stay on the paths of righteousness. That is putting our faith in action!

Of course, it is the Love of Christ that is our hope and consolation in the midst of chaos and lawlessness. He tells us He will never leave us nor abandon us, so we must trust in His Word and walk this Truth out in faith. But we are also to love our enemies, forgiving them and exhibiting our belief that Christ died for us all; to save us from the wrath of our Holy God; a wrath and punishment we all deserve. So, while forgiveness seems so hard to offer in the face of the atrocities and sinful acts of those who rebel against God, it also leads to our own repentance for the ways that we have sinned against Him. Let our repentance be a light to the lost, that they might see and respond to the Love of Christ that changes even the most hateful heart.

In summary, lawlessness is here to stay, and as a Bible-believing Christian, I am expecting it to increase in strength and intensity. But I also know that our failing culture urgently needs the hope that every believing Christian possesses in the promises of our Sovereign Lord and Savior. Let us profess that hope to a disbelieving world [in both word and deed], and highlight our persistent trust and faith in His redeeming love for everyone in this decaying world. And may His peace be with you as you journey towards your eternal Home.

Hold Fast: Our "Blessed Hope" Is On The Way!

My message today is short and direct. It's 2025; we're one quarter of the way into this century, and if you are a follower of Jesus, then you understand why I am addressing those of you who might be experiencing some uneasiness and anxiety as they survey what the future may bring. But I want to encourage everyone to not let the affairs of this world distract you from the prize that is promised, nor the anticipation of what Jesus might do in this coming year.

If you are focused on the events of the world, then it will be easy to become discouraged and fearful. Between strange phenomenons in the natural (including drone swarms, increasing volcanic activity, and a recent rise in viruses); to the escalating Israel and Iran crisis; to Russian and Chinese aggression, one might be thinking this sounds like the beginning of the Biblically prophesied seven years of Tribulation. And you would have an argument that these events seem to forecast [or at least foreshadow] what the Bible has revealed will happen before Christ's return.

But, I want to remind you that our Sovereign God has not given us a spirit of fear. Jesus repeatedly tells us to "Take courage. [Because] I am. Fear not". We serve a mighty God who is pulling back the curtain and revealing the Evil that is permeating our world, so that He can draw a distinctive difference between His Divine Goodness and the wickedness of the Evil One and his followers. God is definitely moving in our world to not only reveal, but fulfill, His promises and purposes. It is in the hopes that all His creation will make a decision to follow Him before His righteous judgment falls upon this planet. So, take heart! We have the opportunity to see Him move in us and through us [and use us] to further His plan of reconciliation for all men who will receive His Son as their Savior and Deliverer!

So, let us not let the lukewarm spirituality of some of the Modern Churches rob you of your inner calm and spiritual well-being as to who Jesus Christ is. He is the faithful and trustworthy Witness of your true identity -- as priests to His God and Father, and faithful servants in His Kingdom. He is the Firstborn of those who are dead [in their sins], and the Ruler of all the kings of the earth. He is the fulfillment of all our Father in Heaven's promises; He represents the glory and the power and the majesty of our Sovereign God and His dominion [authority] that will last forever and ever. So, hold fast to those words of assurance.

And guard your hearts and spirits against the false teachings and lies that have existed since the Garden. And do not believe the Enemy's whispers that are uttered in seductive language, intended to change the interpretation and understanding of God's Word; His Timing, Seasons, Laws, and Prophecies -- including the Rapture and the seven-year Tribulation. The truth is, we do not know when those events may come, but we can trust the sincere and unconditional promise of the Lord that we will not experience His wrath on that "terrible Day of the Lord". So, do not be led off course by Social Media posts or the many "false prophets" who are becoming more numerous and vociferously outspoken. If it contradicts Scripture, it is a false and counterfeit teaching.

There are many who are proclaiming that 2025 will be a difficult year, and if you have eyes that only see what the world wants you to see, then you may become tempted to believe these prognostications. But we, who earnestly follow Jesus Christ, do not see with the eyes of our flesh. Our spirits are firmly seated with Christ in the heavenly places, and we await what He shows us and tells us. And should we [with spiritual understanding] discern that this year will, indeed, be a time of trouble and a testing of our faith, we will trust Him to see us through it, and we pray that we might be bold in our confession of faith, holding fast to our blessed hope in the eternal life to come.

So, my final words on this first day of 2025 are this: I exhort you to enter into this new year with anticipation that the Lord is near ... with eagerness to see what He will reveal and achieve; with excitement and suspense for His glory to be on display; and with courage and steadfastness to face whatever the Enemy brings in these Last Days. Furthermore, I pray you will cling to the knowledge that He will observe His promise that we will not suffer "the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth". And most of all, I bless you with hope; the hopefulness that comes from the certainty that our inheritance and crowns await us at Jesus's appearing! What a glorious day that will be! And if it comes in 2025, I'm ready!

Revelation 3:11    I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
