The Year In Review; Why You Need An Emergency Plan

It's customary on New Year's Eve to look back over the events of the year, and I have to say that it was an eye-opener.  It's been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and if these poignant photos from 2011 don't convince you that it might be a good idea to have an emergency plan in place, then I'm not sure how to reach you.
Each of these events are horrible in the scope of devastation that resulted.  And I'm not callous enough to suggest that having all the items on our list of "100 Things That Are First to Disappear In A Crisis," would lessen the personal toll or destruction.  But I do believe that those who have a certain mindset; those who can anticipate an emergency and react quickly, are those who have the better chance to survive and to help others.
So take a good, hard look at each of these photos and imagine yourself in that situation.  How would you survive?  Would you know what to do?  As we begin a new year, make it a priority to give serious thought to creating an emergency plan...and then do it!

Job 42:1-2     Then Job replied to the Lord: " I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted."

  2. Still relevant information for today...June 23, 2020. If one is not preparing for an emergency and having a drill under good conditions, then how will one survive under true emergency conditions. Prepare to respond not react!

    1. And prepare to endure! We have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind. Still relevant!
