I strongly feel that there are...You are not alone! I strongly feel that there are so many people like you who want to participate with Jesus in bringing the Kingdom of God to earth. My husband and myself were just like you ... we were seeing our instructions in the Bible to "go forth" but were counseled by Church leadership that spiritual warfare was not to be engaged in. So, all I can tell you is what we did.... we sought teaching by someone who we discerned to be faithful to the Bible and who was experienced and bearing fruit for the Kingdom. For us, that was Dr. Charles Kraft. We studied him -- attended a conference he taught, read his books, listened to his podcasts. Then we branched out, listening to others who were doing the work Jesus commissioned ... the Holy Spirit helped us discern who were accurately representing Jesus and the Bible, and we tossed those who were not. Then we sought out those who were "in the game", representing Him truthfully, and doing what Jesus commanded us to do. We learned from them and then just started doing it. The problem is what you have stated ... the Church has scared us off of doing the Great Commission by telling us that we will be attacked if we do it wrong. But you need to realize that it is Jesus and the Holy Spirit that does the work, not you. And He who is in us is greater than He who is in the world. We have not been given a spirt of fear, but a spirit of {His] power and love and a sound mind. Start slow, renewing your mind to God's truth (through books, podcasts, and of course, your Bible) and overcome the negative attitude of the Church. Then look for deliverance ministries in your area (asking the Holy Spirit to help you discern which is best for you). I promise you that you will be greatly blessed when you step out in faith and work for Jesus! I so desperately want to get out there and ''do'', but I always feel so untrained and ill equipped. I have no idea where to even begin as my pastor rejects spiritual warfare and anything super natural. How do I get into this game? Im so scared of being attacked If I get it wrong. Any advice for someone like me?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-367019700923216960.post-36701140506600831102017-07-25T12:03:43.396-05:002017-07-25T12:03:43.396-05:00There is not a word I would change in your comment...There is not a word I would change in your comment! And I stand with every "truth-seeker" who hears a calling on their life to represent Jesus to both the lost, and those who are saved, but not fully manifesting their role as co-laborers with Christ. I sense that, as the time for Christ's return gets closer, there are more Christians who are want more of God than they've been given in the Church building. They want to truly "BE the Church" as Jesus commissioned us, rather than just be IN the Church as we've all been guilty of. I am looking forward to our growing numbers, as we hear the calling on our hearts, listen to the Holy Spirit in our human spirits, and begin acting like the faithful saints we were meant to be. If the supposed church ...The church is the doers!!! If the supposed church refuses to do Matt 28 then Im not sure they can be considered the church. They can be believers, goers, sitters, studiers, debaters, check writers, readers, hearers, followers, but they are not "DOERS". James 1:22 should terrify most pew patrons. The church is the doers who go "out" and "do". This isn't totally the believers fault. Although ultimately our salvation rest totally upon our freewill decision to search out what truth really is. Much of this needs to be laid at the feet of leadership who have allowed the seminary to dictate stance and view. If we allow the seminary to remain and teach corrupted concepts and doctrines then what trickles down to us as spoon fed truth is ours to eat out of our own willingness or laziness because we were not truth seekers. I implore you to search out what your King has instructed, empowered and demonstrated and then get out there and do it! You won't be alone, thats why he states " I am with you always, even unto the end of the age" thats why he's the "comforter". Pam, keep ringing that bell of truth.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-367019700923216960.post-42451408672942707622017-07-24T11:24:07.648-05:002017-07-24T11:24:07.648-05:00And "doing" might look different for eac...And "doing" might look different for each of us… we are not all cookie-cutter Christians. God has a purpose for each and every one of us who believe in His Son and are willing to be obedient to His calling. And just as the physical body has many different parts that work for the good of all, so is the Body of Christ made up of many different parts who have different assignments within the Kingdom of God. If we stay tuned in to the Holy Spirit, we can discern what God's Truth is in each of today's teachings (or discern what it is NOT Truth and dismiss it). I am just grateful that there is a growing number of faithful who are seeking their purpose in answering Jesus's Great Commission and willing to "do" faith. He who believes in the ...The saving grace of God... He who believes in the name of Jesus. That simplified translation has caused many concussion. Believing in name is more like living out the teachings. For that reason the appropriate name Yeshua (Jesus) literally meaning salvation.<br />Faith and believing in name mean the same thing DOING. But it is easier to just hear and believe. The deceiver is even more active today than ever before. For when we just hear and believe and do nothing no salvation can be manifested it is only when we do and preserveer that we can learn to understand that the grace of God is found in our way of doing to remain steadfast. It is not found in just mentioning or trusting in a name. It is becoming what the name stands for...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14953266732829989687noreply@blogger.com
