For whatever reason, they are immature in their spiritual knowledge, so I have learned to just let God work on them. I sometimes still get frustrated with them, but God is showing me that it is not really my concern … He has shown me His purpose for this season of my life, and that is what I need to put all my energy into. That being said, I have made the effort to encourage other Christian relationships who are seeking a higher relationship with the Lord, and like me, may feel isolated and alone within the Christian community. It doesn't have to be a whole congregation of people that you connect with -- one or two satisfies Jesus's admonition to "not forsake gathering together" and His statement that "wherever two or more or gathered", He is there. So I would recommend that you start discerning if there is one or two people who might be interested in getting together to study your Bibles, and to spend time talking about spiritual warfare, our authority and power through Christ, and how we can help Jesus set the captives free. Before you know it, you may have developed what the First Century Christians experienced… a Home Church. But above all, do not become discouraged. As I've said before, I truly believe that God is pulling His chosen remnant out of the Church, and pruning us to bear much fruit for Him. It may be painful and lonely at the beginning, but keep in mind that "Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength…". There will come a moment when our time in the wilderness will benefit the true Body of Christ. So, welcome to the community of spiritual warriors for Christ… we are not connected to this world, but instead, are joined together with Christ to see His Kingdom come, on earth as it is heaven. How do I press on and fight in the spirit without feeling connected to a church or group of believers? I was just curious how you dealt with the spiritual alienation "if your on your own" so to speak. Any advice would be appreciated. So Anonymous obviously understands the bigger picture of the spiritual battle the world is engaged in. I love it when a reader challenges us all to dig for a deeper comprehension of Scripture ... one that does not rely on the simplified version that the modern Church is too often willing to settle for. Until we can get the church this far down the road I dont see an army of deliverance warriors taking their place on the battlefield. You are speaking power to the truth so dont get frustrated with where you're being led. Less will respond but those that do will be powerful spiritual warriors.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
