Personally, I have read almost every version of the different Bibles during my walk, yet today, I unintentionally keep at my side the NIV Bible. More than likely, I use the NIV version because whenever I give a Bible to a "NEW" lil' lamb of God, I always give them the same; the NIV. Therefore, your article truly peeked my interest while causing me to discern your feeding. I pondered on it all day yesterday as I journeyed along His way. This morning, I have great peace in sharing that I will definitely not only continue to use it, but I will continue giving it to every new lil' lamb of God that I lead into His Word of instructions. For although the NIV version does not hold water to the original King James, it helps "baby-burping" Christians gain His understanding much faster than the KJV. And as they grow, they invest into the more mature and original versions. I grew up in Baptist churches, and they truly preach that just one version is acceptable; the KJV. And that's o.k.! But after many years, and many, many Bibles later, I have been blessed to watch many become a beautiful fragrance unto Him while feeding and growing from an NIV Bible in hand. And the reason why I am sharing this is because through my own personal walk, the lesson that I learned from this feeding today is that "NO", Satan can never keep anyone away from God's divine plan of salvation even if the NIV (here and there) lacks the meat once in a while in a passage. For every story in the 66 Books of the Bible (no matter which version) tells us of God's love, grace and mercy while showing us the way home. I'm not asking other Christians to buy the NIV or even to use it, I'm just sharing how God has mightily used the NIV with the small flock that I wallow with. Thanks again for you have caused me to ponder on and over the greatest story ever told in the greatest Book ever written; the Holy Bible. God's grace and peace as we finish this race while glorifying Him in all we say and do.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06691204336408963473noreply@blogger.com
