Christians have a difficult time understanding that the events of Revelation that you refer to (The Rapture, the Bema Seat Judgment of the world, the Return of our Lord and His tabernacling with us in the Millennial Kingdom) will happen in a very rapid succession of days (10 to be exact). That's what the "rehearsal" of the Feasts is all about … preparing us to be aware of what's going to happen. Most Christians struggle to understand what the Book of Revelation is telling us because it "is frightening", so they therefore ignore it. But by studying the Feasts of the Lord, we learn that we should be joyously and solemnly looking forward to these appointed times of the Lord. It means that our Lord is near and His justice will soon reign over the earth! The time period between the Feast of Trumpets (Tishri 1,2) and the Day of Atonement (Tishri 10) are indeed known as the "Days of Awe" or "Awesome Days", but they are not indicative of a ten year timeframe. They are a literal ten days. The prophetic fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets is the Rapture of the saints and the prophetic fulfillment of the Day of Atonement is the Second Coming of Jesus. The timeframe between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement will be a time of global judgment, which we are more familiar with in the Book of Revelation as the "bowl" judgments, whereby if those days were not cut short, nobody would survive. These ten days of global "bowl" judgments culminate with that great and dreadful Day of the Lord, spoken of by the prophet Malachi, and known as the Second Coming and the Battle of Armageddon. At that point, the gates of heaven are closed and there is no further opportunity for those on the earth at that time to repent and find salvation in Jesus Christ. Armageddon is a fulfillment of the parable of the wheat and the tares, and the two are harvested to their respective places. These are indeed the days of Noah and we had better be prepared for what is coming....quickly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-367019700923216960.post-27998785531245890672015-09-23T08:16:03.438-05:002015-09-23T08:16:03.438-05:00Hmmm ... In my studies of the Bible and the Hebrew traditions, I do not see this understanding of the time period between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement. Can you elaborate on how you came to this understanding? Is it your own opinion? Is it part of a study you have done, or come from extra-Biblical texts or pseudepigrapha books? I respectfully would like to know how you derived this perception.
