A Modern Woman's Perspective On The Kingdom of God on Earth

Listening and Turning

It's time for a change.  If you have been a long-time reader of this blog, perhaps you have noticed that I have been struggling in my writing lately.  My spiritually discerning husband sure did.  And I am grateful that he made me see that I was striving too hard to stay a part of "this world".  Let me try to explain.
I could see where I had come since beginning this blog in December of 2011. I had moved from a "prepper" mindset, into relating my Biblical perspective of world events, and was beginning to share that God was showing me we are engaged in spiritual warfare.  Somehow, I let the Enemy whisper his lies and convince me that "enough was enough" on that subject.  And I felt that perhaps I was supposed to back off from sharing this inspired knowledge.  But when I did that, I knew that I was weary of what the world was showing me; "all politics all the time", so to speak, along with the various social breakdowns that make for news headlines.  And it is no accident that I used the word "strive" in that first paragraph to describe my writing, because here is what it means in a Biblical context:  To strive means to specifically struggle (fight) over words; to wrangle about empty and trifling matters.
I knew I wasn't happy in what I was saying, and I was dissatisfied at the end of my efforts.  And it took my husband reminding me that I needed to stop and listen to what the Lord wanted me to say, instead of striving with the world's empty voice.  After all, this was the initial purpose of my blog way back in 2011.  So I am announcing that I am making a change; I will no longer run from what my spirit wants to say.  I will no longer listen to the lies of Satan telling me that people are tired of reading about spiritual warfare.  I am listening to what the Holy Spirit is telling me because, honestly, all that other nonsense is what the rest of the world wants to hear.  I know that what I have to say appeals to a very small segment of the population, but I can no longer shy away from declaring what I am being shown.  I've skirted around this position, and it's time to make a commitment.
I know that I may lose some readers, but there are plenty of other blogs and websites that can feed an appetite for the worldly perspective  -- it's never been about the numbers for me, anyway.  If what I say speaks to one person for the Kingdom of God, then that was my purpose that day.  From now on, I am going to show you, and share with you, what my spirit says is really happening in our lives.  I will still point out what the world wishes us to see, but I will no longer stifle the Holy Spirit and the spiritual aspects and warfare that is our reality.  And it starts today!
Perhaps the most important knowledge I can share with you today is the realization that we were born into a spiritual war zone, and we can choose whether we want to win or lose.  There is no neutral ground! Now, that's not what the secular world will tell you.  In fact, they've spent a lot of media time, classroom time, and tax dollars trying to convince us that the world's problems are because we are not tolerant of views, beliefs, or behaviors that differ from our own; that we are bigoted, narrow-minded, prejudiced, discriminating, and suffer from any number of hyphenated "phobias".  If we would just be more sensitive to the differences between us, then there would be more peace in the world.
Of course, that "tolerance" does not rely on any moral standard by which we are to judge its value or benefit to society.  Therefore, all standards are acceptable and we create a huge "neutral" ground wherein anything and everything is acceptable.  But, you see, that neutral ground only exists in our man-made belief system.  There are spiritual realms that have authority over this earthly domain, and in the realm that directly controls us there are only two authorities ... Good and Evil.  They are at war with each other, and we only have two outcomes available when interacting with them; we either win or we lose.  There is no third neutral authority or outcome; no choice called "uncommitted".
We all have a choice to make as to which side we are on.  The unbelievers of the world have made their choice, whether they see it or not.  Ever since the "shining one" appeared in the Garden of Eden to tempt Adam and Eve, mankind must make a choice as to whom he will follow and obey.  Satan, who was the Deceiver with Divine Knowledge, convinced them to give over their authority to him.
Remember, that in Genesis, mankind was made in the image of God and was given dominion over the earth.  The word dominion means “rule or power over.” God has sovereign power over His creation, but delegated the authority to rule His created world to mankind.  But we handed over that authority for a chance at eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.  If man had entrusted God to be the Keeper of that Knowledge, we could have lived eternally in peace with Him.  But when we relinquished that authority, we instituted the battle that has raged since that very moment; the battle between the authority who champions Evil, and the Authority who is Good.  And we cannot remain neutral.
And because we have to choose, there will be consequences for the choice we make.  Those who choose the side of Good can expect opposition from the forces of Evil in the spiritual realm, because we threaten their dominion, or rule or power, over the masses on this earth who have not yet chosen.  Sadly, the world -- and many Christians -- do not know or admit that this battle wages on.  But it so clear to me!  And that's why I want to press forward to do what I feel called to do; to write what it means to live in this spiritual war zone; what it looks like to the unseeing world, and how it affects our everyday lives.  I want to wage war in the heavenly realms the way God's Word teaches me and to reveal the deceptions that are keeping others from making the right choice.
So, I hope you will join me in this new direction.  If it's not where your head and your heart are now, then I understand.  But I hope you will check in from time to time.  Because you just might receive a word of knowledge or encouragement to help you make that crucial choice.

1 Timothy 1:18    “This charge I entrust to you, (insert your name), my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare…”

  3. I'm with you regardless. You've been instrumental in increasing my knowledge of spiritual warfare which has made a difference in my life. I'm eager to read whatever you have to put out in the future.

Besides, how can any of us go wrong reading anything the Holy Spirit prompts you to write. Sounds like a no-brainer.

    1. Thank you, Dianna! Since deciding to just "go with it" and not worry how it is received by the world, God has shown me that others like you are at the same place I am. I'm encouraged to see where the Holy Spirit takes us!

  4. God put me on a Romans 12:2 journey this past year. It has been the most humbling and adventurous time of my life.
However, the revelation of Ephesians 6:12 shortly after becoming born again 10 years ago has remained at the core, when I consider anything and everything in this life. Because of that, I am continuously encouraged when I read your posts as those truths are challenging to find these days. Thank you for being obedient to Holy Spirit's leading.

    1. I find it fascinating and exciting that God is moving so many of us in the same direction ... and it is towards His truth of what is really going on from a spiritual perspective. Once we've decided not to conform to this world, then things become clearer and there is no fear involved. It is exhilarating to know that we are no longer bound by the conventions and rules of this world and are free to be in sync with YHWH, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit. That is freedom indeed!

  5. I'm so happy that you made this decision! I'm always with you my sister in our spirit and our beliefs. The old song...."Onward Christians Soldiers" comes to mind and it brings hope and joy knowing there are others feeling and knowing the truth which the Lord has left to us and gives to us each day. You, standing your ground and speaking our God's WORD and TRUTH and sharing freely with others is a true blessing. Never forget that. You are appreciated!

    1. Thank you, once again, Lisa, for your encouragement and insight. I'm always so surprised at the relief I feel once I decide to follow the Lord's leading … and I shouldn't be! His Truth is ALWAYS what soothes my soul! So once again I repent for my doubt and unbelief and get back on track … the Enemy just lost another round!

  6. Fascinating that having read many of your posts that indicate your successes in spiritual warfare and how its helped others, I have turned to your page daily hoping you would share your knowledge in this matter with me and all. Grateful that you have been led by God to encourage and instruct those of us who are weak in this area but are being led on this path. Thank you for all you do for the Kingdom of our Lord and Saviour!

    1. I am so sorry that I didn't discern earlier that I was falling off the path God wanted me on! I guess I was afraid that some of what I wanted to share would just seem too fantastical to be from the God of the Western Church. And I will admit that I have received some backlash from Church "officials" for "looking for demons around every corner". But I knew in my spirit that what God had shown me was what He wanted me to know AND SHARE. So thank you for affirming that I need to listen to the Holy Spirit and not the human voices that would soften or modify my speech. And if you ever sense me backing off again, PLEASE feel free to email me and tell me you need more of God's Truth!

  7. Looking forward to hearing what is being revealed to you! It is amazing how the Word of YWWH stands in opposition to the conventional, decieved world we live in. Comparing the standard tennents of "Christianity" to the Truth of the Bible with open eyes shows the stark contrast between the two!

    1. Yes! And I am seeing and feeling the chasm that is developing between the Church and those who don't want to see what is being revealed, and those who, like myself, have witnessed the spiritual war and the healing power of Jesus in lives that have been devastated by the attacks of the Enemy. There is no more time to try to "soft sell" spiritual warfare. It is increasing and will become more evident in the lives of all believers. Now is the time to learn how to engage in the battle for our souls. It is time to know how to fight in the spiritual realm! We are made in the image of God, who is a Spirit. Thank you for encouraging me to show others what that battle looks like!

  9. I have a long ago history of dabbling in the occult. More out of curiosity as a teenager than anything; but, I know that the frightening things that I experienced during that time in my life were just as real as the absolutely breath-taking and wonderful things that I have experienced as a follower of God. Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

I appreciate your obedience to the Holy Spirit to lead you in this matter and will continue to follow you.

    1. Thank you, Kim, for your testimony! There are those fellow Christians who will tell us that we are not to do battle with the Enemy in the heavenly realm, but I believe in the manifest power that is in the Name of Jesus and that we have His authority and power to "tread on serpents and scorpions", which denotes demonic spirits. We don't have to cower in a corner waiting for Jesus to come rescue us! We can fight back, in His Name, and under His authority! Thank you for your encouragement and I look forward to hearing more from you as the Holy Spirit leads you. Bless you!

    2. Dear Sister in Him
Yes and amen to all that we are being taught in the Holy Spirit of who we are in Christ and His mighty power that He will use in us in the times to come-
I thank the Lord every day that He is bringing His remanant army out to do warfare against evil forces and principalities-
I pray the Holy Spirit protect you and yours as you begin this leading of the Way in spiritual warfare-

    3. Thank you, Michele! And I am increasingly encouraged as I realize that there are so many Christians that are on the same page. I am, by no means, exceptional or more faithful that many others ... we are all listening to the Holy Spirit and following His lead. I believe that we are all going to play an important part in waking up the Church and helping the unbelievers to accept Jesus as their Savior. The time is getting ripe for the Harvest!

    4. I've been a lurker following your blog since last Fall but I never took the time to post a comment. Thank you for taking the time to write down and share your thoughts; I have truly enjoyed reading and reflecting on your posts. In my opinion, spiritual warfare is one of the topics that is not discussed enough among Christians even though we are in the battle every day whether we want to or not. Christians need to wake up to the battle going on around us and engage in the battle instead of remaining on the sidelines watching the negative impact it is having on our lives, family, friends, neighbors, and world. I look forward to following the blog to see where you are lead and what is put on your heart to share. Keep up the good work.

    5. Thank you, Corey, for taking the time to comment. It has been amazing to me to realize how many more Christians are on the same page as I am --- we are all being led by the Holy Spirit to this knowledge and understanding, and asking the Holy Spirit to open our eyes, ears, and hearts. Our spirits know something is wrong, but the human flesh is struggling because of the centuries of neglect by the Church to teach on this matter. But now we are awakening and listening to The Spirit and seeking the knowledge that will enable us to stand for the Kingdom of God here on earth. I am excited to see the response this blog is getting and to know that the Body of Christ is willing!
