A Modern Woman's Perspective On The Kingdom of God on Earth

This Is What Hope Looks Like!

I figured by now, we are all a little tired of the news cycles and the hand-wringing.  I know I am!  So I want to share something really special with you.  The video below is of my beautiful God-daughter, Murphy Grace, who has just started first grade at a Christian school.
Last Christmas, my husband and I gave her a more grown-up Children's Bible.  She was beginning school and we felt she was ready to advance from our previous gift of a picture book version.  According to her parents, she knew all the stories and there was no short-cutting them at bedtime.
We have been thrilled that she is being brought up knowing the love of Jesus.  When being interviewed for admission to the school, she told the Administrator that Jesus was important to her because "He created me."  Cut right to the Truth, didn't she?
Anyway, I want you to focus on something besides the doom and gloom of our national condition, and look beyond the immediate consequences.  Remember, God knows what is going on; He knows our future; and He has authority and power over our circumstances.
This simple little video is not professional, nor was it planned for a wide audience.  But I have Murphy Grace's mother's permission to share it with you.   In the video, it's her bedtime, and she no longer needs help in reading her Bible stories.  I have to admit, I shed a tear or two when I first saw it, and also laughed at the purity of this precious child's efforts to get every word right.  I'm sure God is smiling down at His "creation" and encouraging her Spirit.
So the next time you feel like throwing the towel in, or feel demoralized and despondent, watch this video and look upon the hope of our future.  It transcends political parties, economic programs, national security issues, foreign trade policies, and social agendas.  It's as simple as a child growing in the Lord, and the reason I will continue to take a stand for my God and my country.

Isaiah 59:21     "As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the LORD."
